StarRupture Playtest Co-op Round:
What You Need to Know

Welcome to StarRupture, an intense first-person open-world survival game where you’ll build sprawling industrial bases, harvest valuable resources, and battle alien monsters—solo or in a group of up to 4 players. The planet is gorgeous, dangerous, and constantly evolving. Exploration, combat, and creativity are your keys to survival.
🧪 How to join the playtest?
The closed playtest runs from today till December 8th. To join, just head over to our Steam page and click “Request Access.” It’s that easy—and yes, it’s 100% free!
🎮 What’s in the Playtest?
The StarRupture Co-op Playtest features an early slice of the game, featuring the game's core mechanics, a guided tutorial (in single-player mode), and a free play option with map restrictions.

Some gameplay mechanics and more advanced progression levels will be locked out for now (and left for you to fully explore when the game launches in Early Access on January 6th, 2026), so don’t worry about the spoilers; the game will have plenty of fresh and new elements once it launches!

The Co-op Playtest features a more polished experience than July’s Single-Player Round Playtest: we’ve tweaked the performance, ironed out a lot of gameplay mechanics, and we’ve squished a lot of bugs (tons of Vermin were harmed during our internal playtesting), and yes: the autosave is working now!

Your feedback on the playtest will be really helpful for us to deliver you the best possible experience on the Early Access launch - you can fill out our short feedback form over here.

There is no time limit on your session—play as much (or as little) as you want! However, this event will be limited only by the good old calendar - it will finish on December 8th.
🤝Meet our (anti)heroes
During the Co-op Playtest, you will be able to try out in action all of our 4 (anti)heroes - each with their own backstory, traits, and character. They will have plenty of chances to speak with GAL and each other to comment on the current situation. Be sure to try out each one of them to see who is your favorite, before the game launches in Early Access ;)

StarRupture - Developer Update: November ‘25

Hello Convicts,

This month, we’re inviting you to the second part of our introduction to corporations. If you’ve missed or would like to remind yourself of the first part of our corporate guide, you can find it here.

Energy corporation.

Moon Energy Corp.'s primary focus is processing and conversion of natural resources; its extensive research and development program was crucial for the colonization of new planets.

Their Solar Generators can provide your factory with the needed energy generated by their efficient photovoltaic panels.

Their more advanced buildings, Wind Turbines, convert wind into electric energy with really high efficiency. They are useful in providing sufficient electricity to power factories of a greater size.

Moon Energy’s Power Generators are not the only inventions you will use during your sentence on Arcadia-7. You can place their R&D tech inside your Habitats.
 • The Analyzing Station will help you analyze specimens collected on this new planet in exchange for Data Points.
 • The Recipe Station will come in handy to unlock new production and food recipes.

Military corporation.

Griffits Blue Corp is the largest supplier of weapons and military equipment in the universe known to man. Their technology will be crucial for your survival on Arcadia-7 while battling the Vermin.

Their Equipment Upgrade Station will not only allow you to assemble weapons, but also create various mods for the weapon’s barrel, sight, magazine, and stock. Use them to either improve your weapons’ firepower to be more effective against certain enemies or to simply match your preferred shooting style.

Thanks to Griffits Blue Corp, you will be able to protect your base structures from Vermin either by constructing manually loaded Defense Turrets or using more advanced Defense Towers that can be automatically resupplied with ammo through Drone Rails.

For more advanced personal defense and close-combat strategies, Griffits Blue Corp has developed a specialized hand Grenade. This works like a miniature energetic bomb, which attracts Vermin upon deployment. The hand Grenade comes in handy, especially when you want the enemies to be stacked in one place, to give you time to either take a better position in combat, or to securely retreat from the fight.

Pharmaceutical and medical corporation.

If something is connected with chemicals, they’re your guys. That’s why they’ve created the Compounder—an intermediate production building that conducts chemical reactions to make more advanced Products in your factories.

FHS technology will be really important in your everyday adventures. In case anything goes wrong while exploring the wild lands of Arcadia-7, the Medtool - an advanced medical tool full of pharmaceuticals that speed up regeneration of the body - will be a real lifesaver, as they say.

Future Health Solutions does not forget about making your mission a little bit more “bearable”. With the use of Food Station, you will be able to convert raw ingredients into more nutritious food rations, granting you more positive effects than eating consumables as you find them in the wild.

You will be able to use L.E.M. Station to install Limbistic Enhancement Membranes you may find or acquire during your mission to make your body less restricted by human limitations.

The Regeneration Chamber will become essential for making new “respawn points” during your adventure. They will print out new sleeves for transferring your consciousness in case anything bad happens. Just… don’t overuse them, ok?

And that’s all of our in-game corporations' guide. It doesn’t matter if you will play in single player mode or online co-op with your buddies, or whether you want to focus on factory building, base defense, or exploration, each of the corporations will play a crucial part in your adventure.

StarRupture is coming to Early Access on January 6th, 2026, and we can’t wait for you to try it out in action.

Until the next one,
Creepy Jar
