Faction Introduction

The theme of Turning the Ark is self-annihilation.

In this world, characters are divided into two factions.

One is the clan of "Ren," which has a strong Eastern aesthetic in terms of attire and structure. Everyone in this faction unquestioningly obeys the king's orders.

The other is the clan of "Huan," whose members all possess features resembling those of wild animals (such as animal ears or tails), akin to creatures that would appear in Western fantasy mythology.

Players take on the role of the leader of the "Huan" clan. While exploring the truth behind the self-annihilation, they must also uncover what secrets are hidden within the "Ren" and "Huan" clans...

Character Introduction - Protagonist



In this game, players are free to choose names for their characters and can also choose whether to play as the male protagonist or the female protagonist. However, extremely obscure Chinese characters may not be supported, such as the character "姮" in 纪姮笙.

The main feature of the protagonist is amnesia; he doesn't know who he is or why he is inside the ark. Gender differences not only slightly affect the storyline but also impact the character's abilities.

The male protagonist's skills lean towards melee combat, being straightforward and violent. If you're new to tactical RPG games, choosing the male protagonist might be more suitable.

The female protagonist's skills mostly revolve around unique abilities centered on reversing the core of the ark—surrounding and killing. If used skillfully, the female protagonist can be much more powerful than the male protagonist.

However, based on the test results so far, approximately eighty percent of players choose the female protagonist primarily based on the character artwork.

Project: AHNO's Ark-the Worldview

Due to the theme of the plot, it's necessary to establish a confined setting.

In the realm of detective fiction, common settings of this kind include stormy mansions, unreachable islands, and moving trains.

In essence, these are places where external interference is impossible.

However, in this work enriched with a touch of fantasy, the aforementioned settings are all too ordinary. Our requirement is a grand, beautiful, and memorable location.



Initially, when constructing such a setting, the idea was a laboratory in the deep sea...

This way, the scene from the previous work, Rail of Möbius, could be reused.

Nevertheless, due to the nature of the story's premise, the final decision was to position the primary worldview within a snowy landscape of a distant future.

Amidst the dim and tranquil expanse of pure white, a massive square laboratory is quietly established...

What is unfolding within it, and what purpose does the self-destruction hold?
It's up to players to diligently uncover the truth in the game.

Game Feature Intrduction - "Execution".



In addition to using "normal attacks" and "skills" to attack enemies, the opponent's pieces can be instantly eliminated by surrounding them with our units, obstacles, and summoned entities, including even the bosses.

By adding the "execution" skills in traditional strategy board games become diversified all at once. Actions that were once insignificant, such as throwing small rocks or summoning weak creatures, can become decisive skills determining victory or defeat in this game.



Furthermore, to facilitate the conditions for players and enemies to achieve "execution" the battlefield in this game is much smaller compared to typical strategy board games, with a size of just 8x8. This change simultaneously addresses the drawback of prolonged gameplay that is often associated with traditional strategy board games.
