Hey, painters!

Just want to take a minute to chime in about the new update! This one doesn't add much but it takes care of some minor feature requests that we've been able to implement. Here are the changes:
 • Joystick Control has been added to the game
 • App Icon has been changed
 • Other minor performance optimizations

If you have any questions or issues that arise as part of the update, please feel free to let me know! Otherwise, I hope you enjoy painting!

Behind the Frame Artbook, Soundtrack Bundle and Trading Cards Are Live Now!

Hey, artists!

We're dropping a ton of news all at once! We're releasing the Behind the Frame art book, bundling it with the game and soundtrack, updating the game and putting out trading cards today. Here are the details!
Artbook
Today, we're so excited to show off the Behind the Frame art book which includes detailed insights into the art, style and animation of Behind the Frame. So much feedback from players has been about the game's beautiful design so the artbook is now available to share a little piece of that with you today.

If you'd like to pick up everything Behind the Frame in one big bundle, I'd recommend clicking this link. It includes the art book, soundtrack and the game!
Trading Cards
Alongside the release of the art book, we have also set Behind the Frame trading cards live! There are now eight collectable (non-spoiler) cards that players who played should immediately receive and players in the future will receive. If you'd like to trade, head to the Steam Forums and try to find some matches!
Patches
For those of you that have been paying close attention to Behind the Frame the past few weeks, you'll have seen a number of patches hit to take care of problems cropping up. While we'd have loved the game to play flawlessly on every computer out there, the realities of indie game development sometimes mean we need to quickly and decisively react to issues that crop up. Thankfully, after the last few weeks of rapid patching, that process has drawn to a close.

We'll still be updating the game and addressing bugs as they make it to us but the lion's share of major issues affecting Behind the Frame and its demo have been resolved. If you have any problems playing the game, feel free to post in the official discussion forums and I'd be happy to follow up with you!

--------------------------------------------------------------

That bring us to the end of the major announcements. Launching Behind the Frame has been an absolute treat and one of my favorite games to work on. Thank you so much for making the game a success!

Behind the Frame is a Ghibli-inspired ode to painting that stole my heart

My first cup of morning coffee is a holy ritual. It's not about the caffeine jolt so much as taking a moment to become who I need to be for the day, for myself and for others, so that I can put something meaningful back out into the world. Mornings are also a time for my partner and I to share a few minutes together before rushing off to work, at least when we get up on time for breakfast...
