Undeadly launches into Early Access!

After three years of solo dev Undeadly is released to Early Access!



Releasing Undeadly represents a huge step for me; it has been a long and winding road with many highs and many lows in between. Shout out to all the friends and family who have supported me along the way - it means the world to me.

I'm also grateful for being runner up in the Kiwi Game Starter 2022 competition and for the grant awarded by the Princes Trust He Kākano Fund. This has really helped me bring on board some amazingly talented people.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the Early Access campaign. I hope to hear your feedback and develop Undeadly into a better game. Be sure to drop any feedback in the Discord server. Any comments are very much appreciated.

Roadmap

Hi there

The roadmap for Undeadly is live.



The roadmap details my plans for Undeadly across the Early Access campaign.

Please remember - the list is not exhaustive or final. The roadmap will probably be subject to change over the course of development. For the sake of transparency, when the roadmap does change, past versions of the roadmap will be kept and can be found here.

Update #3 - Scavenging Simplification

Hi there

I've made some changes and fixes based on feedback about scavenging.
  • Scavenging
    • Removed basic/advanced/expert tools.
    • Most containers only need to be scavenged - that is, a survivor needs to spend action points unlocking the loot.
    • Some containers must be dismantled first, which requires the necessary scavenging ability.
    • Clarified some of the scavenging/salvaging UI text.
  • [Bug] Fixed a bug where bathroom sinks were not giving any medical loot.
  • [Balance] Increased the amount of meds received from medical loot.
  • [Quality of Life] When scavenging or salvaging, available survivor action points will be spent in one go instead of clicking for each action point.

Update #2 - Patch 29th March 2023

Hi there. Massive thanks to the people providing feedback and bugs reports.

I've just released a quick patch to fix some bugs:

  • Fixed a bug where the game would soft lock if a survivor died, leaving only survivors healing in the medical bay.
  • Fixed a bug where the game over menu would not show if the last survivor died while healing inside the medical bay.

Hi there. Some feedback already coming in, much appreciated.

I've just released a quick patch to fix some bugs:

  • Fixed issue with feedback form submission.
  • Fixed bug where hazards would continue to apply even after a unit has died.
