Winter Community Challenge!

Festive Greetings!

We hope you're all enjoying the new snowy content in our new Winter Update! If you missed the news and have absolutely no idea what we're talking about, THAT'S OK! We got you covered, check out all the details right here.

Some of you will remember in our Halloween update, we challenged you to beat our top score in Challenge Mode and umm... you did it pretty quickly. It was so fast, in fact, that it actually made most of us cry. So this time around things are going to be DIFFERENT! We've got a brand new Community Challenge for you, and it's gonna be a goodun!
Winter Community Challenge
This season's challenge takes place, once again, in the new Challenge Mode level released with the Winter Update - Two Point Krampus. But you'll all be working together for the good of the county this time... We're challenging you, as a community, to make ONE BILLION DOLLARS collectively. Once you've hit the target, you'll unlock a brand new wintery-themed item! You'll be able to track your progress in the News Feed on the Main Menu of the game, so keep checking back daily for updates on how it's going.

We believe in you all, but Krampus isn't so sure...

TLDR:

  • We've challenged you, as a community, to make 1 billion dollars collectively in the brand new Challenge Mode level "Two Point Krampus"
  • It doesn't matter if you make a million yourself, or even just 10 dollars - it all counts towards the goal
  • You can play the challenge as much as you like to keep earning money
  • Once you've hit the goal, you'll unlock a brand new Winter Item (whoop whoooop!)

So go forth and make ALL THE MONEY to keep Krampus happy this season!

Winter Update 3.0 - Available Now!

Warmest of wishes, Pointians!

Students, this is your annual friendly reminder to NOT feed the reindeer Cheesy Gubbins. And no, they don't eat homework either!

A frosty spell has hit Two Point County, time to wrap up warm, dust off your festive decor and get ready to deck halls, and lavish faculty and friends alike in festive gifts because the Winter update is here! From today, you can expect a whole host of yuletide treats. Oh and one final thing, please remind students that class is still in session... brain freeze is no excuse!

We can't think of anything as nice as wintertime, even that frosty bite in the air... but alongside all the festivity, we need some help spreading seasonal cheer in our latest Challenge Mode, as a new adversary arrives, and they're up to snow good! With a sleigh full of wonder, let's see what the elves have in store!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Challenge Mode
The student body needs your help in taking on one of County's grinchiest residents, the Two Point Krampus! We need you to lighten everyone's holiday spirits ASAP, or else we fear they'll bring gloom to all of Campus!

The Two Point Krampus is a grumpy one, whilst everyone in the County is enjoying Winter a whole lot, the Krampus HATES the whole festive season! Now, we aren't quite sure of the reason, but the Krampus has come onto Campus to spread their festive uncheer! We do know one thing for sure and it's that a well-placed gift can bring joy to even the biggest of humbugs!

In order to make everything merry and bright in our Winter Challenge Mode, we'll need to make sure we have enough money in the bank to get the Krampus a gift big enough to bribe him into being on the nice list, so you'll need to raise money across 2 years by protecting the festive spirit (student happiness) from this demonic (and hairy) buzzkill. Not only that, but whilst dodging the Two Point Krampus, you better watch out or your students might get caught up in some particularly frosty weather...
New Items & Outfits
Every student loves a snow day, and some have decided to take it literally this year... celebrate all things wintry with the new festive outfits, whether it's weathering your faculty with snowball heads, or choosing something merry like Santa suits or elf outfits!

Make sure your Campuses are bright and jolly, a cosy feel can really make a difference. Gift-wrapped decorations are now available, if you're partial to some merry decor then rejoice with festive wreaths and fir trees, or for those who are anti-big light, bring some sparkle to your campus and deck the whole place in fairy lights!
New Things:
• A new challenge level: Two Point Krampus!
  • Free cheerful customisations and icy items:
    • Wintry wallpapers, we got a deal on wrapping paper and thought, multipurpose?
    • With the savings on wallpapers, we went all out with new hardwood flooring!
  • Bring festive cheer with new free items: snow people, a fir wreath, gift stocking, Christmas tree, fairy lights, new rugs... and more!
  • Ice cold theming changes:
    • You'll be needing mittens to attend Mitton
    • A yellow snow warning has been issued at Piazza!
    • No pipers are piping, but merry music will have you a-leaping through the festive season
    • Glacial globes spotted on the meta map
    • Icy item swaps
  • Bundle up tight in four new outfits
  • ...and a whole partridge in a pear tree more!

For anyone who's worried about missing out, don't worry! These snow people don't melt away, all items, costumes, and the challenge mode will remain after the event period. All your festive items even work in Two Point Campus’ Space Academy DLC, which is out now on all platforms.

If you'd prefer your campus with its foliage green, there's an option for you! Head to the settings menu and scroll down to find the Seasonal Content toggle to control the seasons (didn't realise you trained in Dark Arts?!).

We can't have festivity without the whole County family revelling in the wintry wonder, jump into update 3.0, now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation.

Two Point Campus: Space Academy OUT NOW!

Greetings Space Cadets!

Today is THE DAY we've all been waiting for... we're incredibly excited to announce our first major DLC, Two Point Campus: Space Academy, is OUT NOW alongside Free Update 3.0 with lots of quality of life additions!

With a galaxy of exciting new features including celestial campus locations, far-out courses, and a host of stellar student archetypes, Two Point Campus: Space Academy is sure to bring out-of-this-world excitement levels to all of our lovely Campus players!

Missed the original announcement? No problem! Take a look below...

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

The Two Point space program is far, far, away from its golden years when rockets lit up the news and astronauts were semi-famous (like B-list actors you don't even recognise). The County needs your help on the front lines! Not only in promoting the space industry but also in galactic defence, inter-dimensional diplomacy, and preparing for foreign life. The aliens are coming; look busy! Dust off your moon boots and set phasers to fun, it's time to get your students to reach for the stars… and their wallets.
NEW CAMPUSES
Universe City

Cape Shrapnull

Cheesy Heap
NEW COURSES
Space Knight School
A nomadic offshoot of traditional (land-based) knighthood. Nothing tests your bottle quite like the endless void, let me tell you...

Astrology
A field unconstrained by gravity and common sense. Astronauts flout traditional beliefs and float off into the ether. You may not like it, but you would say that you're probably a Capricorn.

Cosmic Expansion
For generations, Two Pointians have looked to the stars and thought "I'm going to own that someday!". Thanks to alarming technological advances, that's now a very real, unfortunate possibility.

Space Academy
Life in space isn't all shooting stars and dodging lasers. No, it's mostly just protocol and ironing your uniform. Become confident in space from the comfort of wherever this is.

Cheese Moongery
No one wants to see how the cheese is made.

Humanities
Countless alien civilisations have studied humanity during our relatively brief existence, but most have stayed at a safe and understandable distance, until now!

Two Point Campus: Space Academy is OUT NOW for £8.99/$9.99/€9.99. We can't wait for you try it out, be sure to tell us what you think over on the forum!

Developer Interview | Two Point Campus: Space Academy

Hey everyone,

We've been buzzing with anticipation to show you all the stellar goings on in our academic space race, and we're thrilled to see such an awesome response, we've been loving your excitement over on our social channels!

Today we're blasting off for a closer look at what exactly the first major DLC for Two Point Campus is all about. We sat down with Head of Animation, Chris Knott and Designer Harry Puttock to talk about what you'll be doing and what you can expect in the new DLC. Strapped in? Boosters set to ignition!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Everyone's super excited for the new DLC, tell us a little bit about what players will be doing in Space Academy.
Harry: In Space Academy, players will lead their students through a range of galactic courses. Meet aliens, mine space rocks and have a superbly science-fictional time. Everything you know and love about space has been carefully crammed into this DLC. Most of it, anyway.
Heading into space is definitely not the first place you'd expect to be building Campuses. What was the inspiration behind the setting of Space Academy?
Chris: As with all our games we tend to go with both the consensus in the studio and feedback from the community. Space Academy seemed the best choice as every science student has dreamt about going into space! Plus there's a nice large scope for us to make weird courses and even weirder machines for students. We could also see ties with existing courses in the game, so it felt like a really nice theme to step into.

Harry: It may sound outrageously simple, but it seemed like a fun thing to learn about (for the students, not us). Space is such a rich point of reference, with loads of historical moments - remember? - and pop-cultural bits to twist, reference and ruin.
What sort of locations will players be heading to?
Harry: Each of the new campus settings celebrates different elements of space travel and science fiction. You've got Universe City, the home of Two Point's old space program, which is what people will recognise as 'real life' space travel (rockets, astronauts etc.). Then you have Cape Shrapnull, HQ for the County's new space academy, which is more heavily Sci-Fi inspired. Cutting-edge and farfetched, sure, but also familiar and grounded, literally! Finally, there's Cheesy Heap: Delta-Rye, the first level we've ever set outside of Two Point County. Things get a bit wilder, understandably - heading into space - with cosmic cheese and lots of aliens... It's our spin on the unknown, and hopefully amusing, future of space travel.
Of course, there are a bunch of cosmic courses on offer at Space Academy, how do you come up with the ideas for these?
Harry: A lot of it comes down to the students. What kinds of characters do we want to see in these settings? What fun things can they be learning and doing? There's an abundance of ideas, with a theme like space, so it becomes a process of figuring out which combinations best serve each of the levels, and the DLC at large. As I mentioned with the settings, we wanted to establish three different styles, or eras, of space travel. The students and their courses are a crucial part of that. Then, when we finished, and everything was perfect, we figured out how to shoe-horn in something about cheese.

Chris: We thought of fun tweaks on existing space-themed tropes. and puns! (Obviously! ). Anything we could think of that would fit our world and maybe pay homage to our favourite space films or fiction.
Cheesy Heap, cheesy space rocks, cheesy monsters... there's a lot of intergalactic cheese in this DLC! Tell me about Cheesy Gubbins, do we really want to know how they're made?
Harry: I cannot confirm that Cheesy Gubbins has been using cosmic cheese as a secret ingredient in their famous snack. I could, but I won't.

Chris: We all know for a fact that the moon is made of cheese, so the Two Point world is perfect to explore the intergalactic cheese mysteries held within... Just don't ask how it's made...
As you've had a chance to play Space Academy, what's been your highlight?
Chris: I am biased but the new animations are really fun, the Space courses offered us a whole load of silliness to animate and the new course machines lean into the weirdness of space.

Harry: My favourite part of the DLC lives in a piece of machinery that's used on the Cheese-Moongery course. Now, that's a sentence! Please send them my love when you meet them in Cheesy Heap. Thank you.
