The Early Access release of Stories from the Outbreak is out NOW!

Attention all survivors! The Early Access release of Stories from the Outbreak is finally here!



Embark on a turn-based roguelike zombie RPG with a shorter scenario that immerses players in the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. With 11 unique characters, more than 15 enemies, and three expansive maps, the gameplay is challenging, and permadeath adds to the intensity.

Form a team of survivors, traverse the area maps in search of shelter and supplies, fight zombies, and decide the fate of your crew. The game explores the apocalyptic atmosphere through pixel art and characters that speak to each other, showing polarization in views. Will different opinions prevent them from reaching their goals?

The game is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Join the fight for survival and make your own story in a world overrun by the undead!

Crown of Pain - Patch 0.10 has been released!

0.10 - Release

Content

- New character "Hope" (Healer)
- New character "Elric" (Mage)
- Revamped levels first page
- Added 20 new levels with 2 bosses.
- Added 2 new bosses to the first part of the map.

General

- Existing characters has been tweaked with damage, skills and skill variations.
- Empty matches now gives faith (currency) for non-primary ability actions to help with early game.
- Added indicator ui to show how much faith is added per kill or empty match.
- Added multiple fixes for tooltips and overall improved tooltips information to reflect accurate information.
- Uncounted number of QoL improvements including UI fixes & other.

Future plans

Similar with making combat much more consistent in the previous update, we plan to look into adjusting the balance and the scaling of enemy strength and character abilities.
This means that the primary focus will be around adding variation and different micro mechanics in the game rather than adding additional characters, lore etc (this will come later)

HALLOWEEN CAVE

For limited time special halloween cave level has been added to the game with end-game boss "Pumpking".

* Fixed effect stacking for poison/bleed effects causing large damage spam
* Fixed tooltip not displaying resources used in the shop after hovering on attribute tooltip

* Balanced out a few environmental characters (like the sticky web)
* Veno receives a large buff for its abilities to become more viable (both damage increase and healing increases)

This is a quick hotfix patch that fixes a recent bug from version 0.9.47.

- Fixed issue with Veno Chant of Soul causing the game to crash.
