We are beyond excited to unveil the latest key art for Coridden! With this new artwork, we wanted to capture the essence of the adventure, the thrill of the battles, and the otherworldly landscapes you'll explore in the game. We think our artist created a beautiful piece! But before we dive into the details of our newest piece, let's take a quick journey through the evolution of our key arts.

[h2]The journey so far[/h2]

[h3]The Dynamic Quartet[/h3]
Our very first key art introduced you to the Dayal siblings and their beasts forms. All four siblings were showcased in action, each displaying various fighting styles. This piece was all about dynamism and the raw energy of battle.



[h3]Jai Takes the Lead[/h3]
Next, we brought Jai to the forefront. As the oldest of the siblings, Jai often takes on the role of the leader. We wanted Jai's intelligence and sense of responsibility to shine through. This artwork highlighted his shapeshifting abilities, with his siblings supporting him in the background.



[h3]Devi’s Moment[/h3]
And now, we proudly present our latest key art, featuring Devi in the spotlight! Devi, the empathetic and observant second-oldest sibling, is depicted transforming into a beast. Behind her, you can see all the Dayal siblings riding beasts and wielding their favourite weapons. This piece combines elements from the previous artworks, showcasing both the individual strengths and the unity of the Dayal family.

As you know, we recently wrapped up the playtest of the Alpha build of Coridden. We were thrilled to have our amazing Kickstarter backers, selected creators, and those who applied through the Steam form join us. Today, we're here to share the results of the playtest based on the feedback you provided!

Now, let’s talk about the playtest results. We had an impressive 1304 participants with access, and we received 81 responses to our feedback form. First off, we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our alpha playtest. Your feedback has been invaluable, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you put into helping us improve the game ❤️ We've just turned off access to the alpha build, and we're currently compiling all the results. We'll be back with a summary of the playtests soon!

In the meantime, we've already started implementing changes inspired by your feedback and suggestions. We even uploaded a patch to the build last week! But that's not all—we've been hard at work throughout the entire month.

[h3]Here's a quick rundown of what we've been up to:[/h3]

[h3]Combat Ready 🗡️[/h3]
🔷 Automatic Champions Placement
We've added "Champion" enemies. These tougher foes often have more abilities than their normal counterparts and can appear randomly on the map. You can tell them apart because of their blue outline.

➕ Added Wound Healing to Some Armor
Now, certain armors will grant health regeneration, helping you stay in the fight longer.

💥 Dragolem Smashes Attackable Objects

🗡️ Two-Handed Weapon Style Fighting
We've been working on improving animations and the overall feel for the Heavy/Two-handed weapon style. Our goal is to make these weapons feel more impactful and satisfying to use, making your combat experience better.



[h3]Eye Candy 🤩[/h3]
⚡ More Clear When You Are Out of Energy
We've made it easier to notice when you're out of energy. However, we feel like there is more that we can do here, so let's say it's still a work in progress.

🤝 Improved Player Animation Syncing in Online Multiplayer
We have worked on improving the syncing of player animations in online multiplayer because the one we had so far left much to be desired. 

💥 Skills VFX Fixing and Improving
We've fixed and improved the visual effects for skills, making them look even cooler!

[h3]Finding Balance ⚖️[/h3]
We've made adjustments to Skill and Energy Cost based on your feedback, and we'll be testing it out in the future.

[h3]Quilon Makeover 🏛️[/h3]
We'working on Quilon's look and layout. This is the direction we're going for:

We found and fixed a ton of bugs. It's a never-ending story, but the sooner we catch them, the better!

We wanted to give you a quick update on what's going on at Coridden 😉

Right now, we're in the middle of a playtest, and we're testing out an Alpha build of the game. Huge thanks to those of you who decided to play this build and help us catch issues early – your feedback is invaluable! 💪 BUT, if you haven't joined the playtests because you don't want your experience to be spoiled, that's absolutely understandable.

We've already seen some coverage on YouTube and Twitch in various languages, and it's an amazing feeling to see people play Coridden and get excited about it 😍

For those who still want to jump into the test, you can apply by following these steps:
1. Visit our Steam page.
2. Click on the "Request Access" button to join the playtest.
3. Keep an eye on your email for further instructions and confirmation.



After playing, please fill out the form – this is the main way for us to see at first glance what works, what doesn't, and what can be improved. You can find the form in the main menu of the game or by clicking the link above ☝️

Additionally, join our Discord to tell us more details about the issues you encountered. We've created special channels for your feedback there to organize and categorize the issues.
