The final episode + improvements are coming 12 September

Hey all!

We’re all excited about the upcoming release of the FULL version of Beyond Sunset, which will happen on 12 September 2025, coinciding with the Brutal Indies Showcase. Our game is quite brutal, so it’s a perfect match.

But what can you find in the final episode that will be added?

The start of it comes with a twist regarding our protagonist, but obviously we won’t spoil it. You’ll see a new and very atmospheric location - which will take you through a ruined facility to a more lively remaining part of it, a beautiful canyon with light shafts, and… We won’t tell you more!



Obviously, as the final episode, it comes with a proper challenge. There is a new enemy to watch out for, the appropriately difficult final boss, but also combat arenas and encounters that will test your reflexes.



If you’re here for the lore, you won’t be disappointed. You’ll find dialogues to explore and files to uncover that will complete the story of Lucy and the world of Beyond Sunset.

There are also fixes and improvements to levels you already know. And since the final episode is quite difficult, it might be a good idea to beat the entire game, in its full version, from start to finish. But, if you choose to start from this new episode, you can do that easily, just choosing it from the episode list.

Get ready for action, and for an explosive conclusion. 12 September 2025. See you then!

[/p][p]The Full Release of Beyond Sunset is coming to Steam on September 12.
[/p][p]The road so far has been full of adventures. We aimed to deliver to you a cyberpunk game with a lot of combat action, shooting, hard bosses to triumph over and fantastic music to vibe to. Despite a few bumps along the way, we’re proud of the final product.  [/p][p]And very soon it will be in your hands!

    • [p]Awakening: New LiFe[/p]
      • [p]All three levels from the Beyond Sunset Demo have been added to the full game[/p]
    • [p]Copy of A Copy: True Faith[/p]
      • [p]Three new levels, which build up to a first-person tower defense section as you defend your new home[/p]
    • [p]Beyond Sunset: Dark Side of The Sun[/p]
      • [p]Three new levels, which see the player breaking into the bank vaults in the deserts of Utah and settling old scores[/p]

    • [p]CR-78 Flyer[/p]
    • [p]Spiderbot Weapons Platform[/p]
  • [p]Combat overhauled:[/p]
    • [p]Powerkill no longer charges over time[/p]
    • [p]Instead powerkill charge is gained by killing enemies, breaking shields and armor, and deflecting and parrying[/p]
    • [p]Melee parry reworked[/p]
    • [p]Knocking enemies into things damages them[/p]
      • [p]Powerkill reward when damage is dealt this way[/p]
      • [p]Powerkill reward when the enemy is killed this way[/p]

      • [p]killing a poisoned enemy poisons other nearby enemies[/p]

  • [p]S2M1 - Fixed time trial dialogue bug that marked quest as complete when it wasn't[/p]
  • [p]Fixed nodebuilder holes in multiple locations[/p]
  • [p]S2M2 - Beep effect after NE arena now correctly stops when the fight is over[/p]
  • [p]S2M2 - Fixed typo with admin dialogue[/p]
  • [p]S2M3 - Fixed floor section not lowering correctly after unlocking the arena[/p]
  • [p]S2M3 - Fixed the secret disk by the entrance to the pyramid being unreachable[/p]

Good news: we're relatively close to the FULL release now. While we can't share details just yet, we can tell you that the full game build has been submitted for testing. Exciting!

We're grateful that you've been with us on this journey, and soon you'll be able to dive deep into the fully realized world of Beyond Sunset.
