We’ve just announced a community graffiti challenge, and that got us thinking. How would other games look like if they were happening in the Beyond Sunset world?

Well, our publisher has a few cool titles on their account so we had a look at these through our pixelated glasses… And they look really cool! Take a look:

Create a pixel art graffiti fit to reside on the walls of Sunset City and send it to us – the winning graffiti will be added to the game as actual street art!



The contest runs Oct 26 - Nov 10. Make sure you’ve read the T&C, and when you do, send us your creations at [email protected]. Remember to send us two versions of your art, one in PSD and one in PNG. The graffiti should be no larger than 64x64 pixels.

Do you know what gives a game a totally unique atmosphere?

Yes, it’s the story.

The graphics too, yep.

But what’s in my mind right now is music. And we have a smashing soundtrack in Beyond Sunset!



When we started thinking about making the game we knew that we needed music that enhances the gameplay. It’s not enough to simply buy the rights to ready pieces and try to fit them in in the story. We needed music composed for Beyond Sunset and Beyond Sunset only.

So there’s little story here, honestly: I made a post on a synthwave fanpage asking if there is anyone interested in helping a small dev team with music for their new game. And we’ve got a ton of answers! BUT. We’ve also got a message from someone we did not expect to see in that thread: Karl Vincent.

Yes, THE Karl Vincent, an absolute synthwave legend wrote to us that he wants to make a soundtrack for Beyond Sunset. And we were beyond excited, obviously! No pun intended.

So as we continued working on our game, and Karl started composing a fantastic soundtrack you’ll be able to hear in the game (and you probably already heard bits of it in the demo).
