Designer’s Corner #4 - How to arrange the corridor?

The corridor is our showcase. It’s the first room we see when we enter our house or other places, so we need to focus on the functionality of this room and, of course, on the furniture. It is worth bringing decorations and accessories to the front.

The key to success in finishing any interior design is consistency. A small room will visually gain a few centimeters if we focus on light colors (beige, gray, white, etc.).

A bright corridor doesn't have to be boring. You can break the monotony by painting one wall in a darker color. Brick walls or properly selected wall decorations can also be a nice change.

Some of the most commonly used in wall decorations:

 • brick or stone
 • wall cladding
 • wall panel
 • decorative wallpaper
 • mural
 • decorative plasters

For the floor, the most commonly used are:

 • wooden parquet
 • laminate panels
 • porcelain tiles
 • resin
 • stone
 • PVC floor coverings

How would you decorate the corridor walls?

Use mirrors, as they optically enlarge space and work great when paired with paintings and wall lamps, illuminated strips, or even bookshelves. To finish it off, a table with a flower vase and a fluffy rug will beautifully warm the corridor interior.

Designer’s Corner #3 - Classic Style

The Classic Style is characterized by warm colors and matching furniture arrangements. The most important features of this style are simplicity and class. In modern times, classic style is often associated with minimalism and top-shelf accessories. It’s often defined as the English style. The main pillars here are simplicity, balance, and symmetry.
Characteristic colors:
• browns
 • beige
 • gray
 • whites

An excellent example of a classic style is a bright interior with white walls and dark wood furniture with golden accessories. Subdued colors and natural materials such as wood can be matched with wallpapers in light pastel colors with small patterns. The design can be finished with stuccos on the ceiling, moldings, and cornices.

Consistency is an essential aspect of the Classic Style. The whole interior should be held together by a characteristic element, such as the color of furniture or fabrics.

The classic style looks best when used in large spaces, with wooden windows, elegant lamps, and high-quality furniture. It’s a posh style suitable for classy people.

Set a trap, and catch the ghost!

Yes, we know that the spooky holiday is long gone, but we also know some of you are still struggling with catching that scary ghost that is haunting our hotel! We want you to sort him out once and for all and bring the light to the place once again.
1
Play the Hotel Renovator demo and at some point of your renovation, the lights will go out. Suddenly, an uninvited ghost appears! Don’t be afraid. Select the Halloween items section and select a buy a ghost-trap, then place it on the ground in a place that the ghost might hover over.
2
Then, grab a vacuum cleaner and when the ghost appears again, use it on him, to get him into the trap! Once you’ve captured it, the light and the music go back on and you can continue your renovation.

You can also sell the trapped ghost for a lot of money!

Remember that there are also pumpkin lamps, Cauldrons, cats, and other spooky decorations added to the demo, plus some cool Halloween wallpapers :)
