Hello Rhapsodogs! This update will be split into two parts, one about my new website which allows you to bring your in-game Rhapsodies to life, and the second half about the Event rotation in Athenian Rhapsody!

Get your in-game Rhapsodies printed:
Through the website above, you can get any in-game Rhapsody of yours printed out on nice cardstock with a clean holographic finish. I will print your Rhapsody and send it back to you with a special note about your playthrough on it!

Grab a Mystery Rhapsody from Series 1:
Introducing Mystery Rhapsodies! You can collect one of twelve different types of Rhapsodies which feature different characters, spots in-game, and even some exclusive armors and Cornballs that players do not have access to. Pick up a Mystery Rhap and see if you get one which contains one of your favorite characters, moments in-game, or Rhapsody customization options!

All Rhapsodies have holographic finishes and are made by hand by me. Sometimes they are not perfect Rectangles because I am not good at this stuff but they look really awesome and are nice and thick and hard too. Very satisfying

Coming Soon:
Thunder Goober Plush as well as Athenian Rhapsody apparel will be debuting soon on the website too - keep an eye out, the Thunder Goober plush has real buttcheeks! It's crazy

[h2]Dynamo Event Ends, Another Launches Soon![/h2]

The Dynamic OTK Event will be ENDING on July 19th - that means you will NO LONGER be able to receive one from Elysium! If you have received the Event, you will still be able to access it forever, but if you haven't logged on and downloaded it yet, you will not be able to beyond this date.

The next Event is finished and is now being put through testing - this Event was supposed to launch alongside a real Athenian Rhapsody menu in NYC but honestly I am not sure what those guys are doing at this point, I haven't heard from them in a few weeks now and I don't want to keep holding the Event from you guys so. Burgers or not, we will be launching it in Early August.

A bug fixing update will be live soon alongside anything found in this round of bug testing for the event, this one includes much more content than the OTK one, new armors, a new weapon+armor combo, and a character many of you know and love but have never been able to experience in-game yet!

I also have a small event finished after this one which will give players access to items they previously may not have been able to if they did not have any TGPD tokens, as well as early access to the portable camera for some cool and fun silly little photos.

Dogs! Not only is this a game update, but I wanted to let you know about some awesome upcoming events, merch, and other cool Athenian Rhapsonews!

[h3]Game Updates:[/h3]

• One of Dynamo's capes was not obtainable by accident - defeating Dynamo will now give you a new cape as intended
  
• Fixed naming the Build-A-Boss pet after another follower which would break stuff
  
• Fixed certain button prompts not being correct on Steam Deck
  
• Fixed GirlCat's shield tracker duping
  
• Made James' Close Calls Cheaper - from 50 to 25 BURST
• Typos and many other little minor bugs that you guys have shown me
  

[h3]Merch Shop:[/h3]
I've been setting up my own website in which I will be selling merchandise of Athenian Rhapsody - that means I will be packing every order myself, and including little things like notes, previously PAX-Exclusive Thunder Goober hats, and more!!!

I'm currently working on the game's first plush, which is Thunder Goober. I'll be showing off some sample products on my social medias once I receive them - this should be up and functional by late summer! The first merch drop will be a limited supply of TG plushes, and if that goes well I will create more plush, products, and expand the roster of characters included!!! Stay tuned!

I just turned 25! Thanks guys for all of the support and birthday wishes. My family got me this awesome Athenian Rhapsocake from Carvel. That's it! Thanks guys, working on this game and being able to grow it more and more is a dream come true!


[h3]Two Upcoming Events for 2024:[/h3]
I'm going to be releasing a new, hearty FREE Event later this summer featured around a Character many of you know, but haven't been able to experience as it's been a convention exclusive experience.

I'm also likely partnering up with a great video game themed NY burger chain to bring a real-life tie in event to you guys!!! Not only will you be able to play this event in-game, but North-East US Residents can actually go to this place and try menu items like the Athenian Rhapsoburger, Thunder Goober Shake, and whatever else we cook up! This will likely be around August, so stay tuned for when I drop this news...

After that, I will be releasing a large, new and expansive paid-Event which will expand on the game's lore and story. This Event will add a whole new type of Rhapsody to it as well - Arp and I have been cooking behind the scenes, and I think this is the perfect add-on that all of you guys have been wanting since some of you have hit the 80 to 100 hour mark! I can't wait, but it won't be ready until likely this fall...

I will be notifying you guys of all of these advancements individually as they come - since it's been one month exactly from launch, I wanted to give you guys a rundown of everything that's been in motion since you guys helped me make this game all I could have ever hoped. Thank you, talk soon!

Rhapsodogs... I've done it. I've fixed the online connectivity of the Steam Deck!!! Please ensure you can connect online through the Main Menu, redeem the OTK Event Rhapsody, and create some online Rhapsodies!!!!

I believe this should have fixed the achievements issue as well - if someone could let me know, this would be great! If not, I will look into it further ASAP!!!

In this update, I've also fixed...

• Softlock after Dynamo "hibernates"
  
• Loading/Rhapsody issue with the new capes
  
• All Rhapsodies saying you were Righteous - this will only come in to affect NEW save files created in this update!!!
  
• Some weird minor text oversights

My favorite Rhapsodogs!!! In this update, I adjusted the game's balance based on your feedback, fixed some small quirks with our first event, and even added some more rewards for it. Check it out!!!

• Adjusted the way player's defenses scale as they level up - this way players won't feel less powerful as they gain EXP due to healing items becoming less useful in the higher levels... I'm asking for feedback on this change!!! I'd like to balance the game as much as possible.
  
• Added two new armors you can receive from Dynamo depending on which way you decide to end the battle... That's three different armors total!
  
• Fixed an issue where you could crash the Dynamo battle during the wire pulling minigame
  
• Fixed the joystick not working during Dynamo's minigame on Mobile
  
• Adjusted the depth of the items you carry during the restaurant scene
  
• Fixed Asmongold not returning to your party when leaving the Event halfway through
  
• Fixed some inconsistencies with certain postmarks/badges when stacked
  
• Added mobile accessibility options in the form of button placement/opacity
  

I am still working on getting SteamDeck achievements working - sorry it's taken so long, as a solodev sometimes it takes me a while, especially when I can't figure out the root cause yet. Though there is no known issue, I suspect it may be a GameMaker runtime issue, I am going to be testing this out to see if that's why as nothing in my code currently indicates that this would be an issue. Sorry!

In collaboration with the OTK Games Expo, Athenian Rhapsody unveils its first Event!!! Travel alongside Asmongold and friends to take on a new epic boss... Learn a little bit more about the world of Athens and its history - but for now, you may have more questions than answers after playing. Luckily, more events are planned and they will get bigger and bigger!!!

[h2]What's an Event?[/h2]

Events in Athenian Rhapsody are a special form of DLC which allows players to access new places midway in their story to discover new characters, equip new armors and gear, battle with new followers, and deck out their Rhapsodies with exclusive accolades.

[h2]How do I access Events in Athenian Rhapsody?[/h2]

To access an Event Rhapsody, all you have to do is connect to the online system and select the option to check for Events. You will obtain a special type of Rhapsody when an Event is active! This Event will run for the entirety of June, so anytime you log in this month you can obtain it - get it before it's gone! Once you have the Event Rhapsody, you will always be able to access the content it unlocks.

If you have an Event Rhapsody in your collection, you may access it by speaking to Thu- I mean Captain Goober in Primo, on his sick motorboat.
