SteamOS 3.6.20 has been released to the Stable channel for Deck with the following changes:

General

• Fixed an issue where the updater could repeatedly revert you to the previous OS version if certain configuration files were user-modified
  
• Fixed an issue with taking multiple screenshots if Game Recording is on
  
• Improved performance in Metaphor: ReFantazio by up to 20%

We have just shipped an updated Steam Deck Client to the Preview/Beta channel.

Game Recording

• Fixed issue that could cause game-provided timeline icons to not appear the first time Steam tries to show them
  
• Fixed case where exporting a clip could fail if the clip was across two play sessions
  
• Fixed rare crash when deleting background video
  

Note: This update was re-released with additional changes:

• Fixed game portraits flashing on home screen when switching from a game with no background image.

• Fixed the on-screen keyboard not immediately popping up when games invoke the text entry dialog.
  
• Fixed a case where the text entry dialog could lose focus and require moving focus to the buttons and back to the text entry
  

Game Recording

• Added a confirmation dialog to "Delete Recordings" button in settings UI
  
• Rearranged some of the game recording settings to better reflect the organization
  
• Updated some labels and titles in the session list view of the media manager
  

Steam Input

• Fixed an issue where using a Steam/QAM button chord in a non-Steam game could leave the desktop config loaded instead of the game's config
  

Note: This update is for the Steam Deck Beta and Preview channels, and includes new features that are still being tested. You can opt into this in Settings > System > System Update Channel.
