Steam Deck Beta Client Update: January 8th

[p]We have just shipped an updated Steam Deck Client to the Preview/Beta channel.[/p][p][/p][p]General[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a case where the 'Format SD Card' would remain greyed out after a microsd card is inserted.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed incorrect controller glyph in library filter selection dialog and filter description.[/p]
  • [p]When connecting a new controller, the glyphs in the footer will now update immediately instead of after the first input from the controller[/p]
  • [p]Reworked the Application Properties -> Betas UI[/p]

  • [p]Added display of selected store tags to app filter/collection dialog.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Steam Input[/p]
  • [p]Improved handling of issues when a controller disconnects while the controller configurator is open[/p]
  • [p]Fixed changes to sliders on the Gyro calibration page not sticking[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with Steam Input API joystick actions not getting As Joystick options for Trackpad/Gyro[/p]
  • [p]Added Gyro to Joystick Deflection option: Drag Center Point. When enabled, moving the controller past its maximum deflection angle will drag the center point with it, so that movement back toward the center will immediately register.[/p]

[p]SteamOS 3.7.19 has just been released for all users with the following changes previously in Beta:[/p][p][/p][p]General[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a regression with Game Recording where the video feed would stop partway through the clip.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the performance overlay sometimes showing zero for CPU power draw[/p]
  • [p]Fixed audio not always switching to/from 3.5mm headphones correctly when inserted or removed[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a regression where certain in-game overlay UI elements could cause a frame time drop upon appearing[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the frame limiter interacting badly with VRR after an extended period[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 would only display a blank window[/p]
