1000xRESIST + AAPI Heritage Month

Project AWR (Asian Women Representation) are dedicated to the representation of Asian women, non-binary and marginalized identities in games.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, also known as AAPI Month or Asian Heritage Month. Throughout the entire month, Project AWR will be highlighting Asian characters or Asian-led/Asian-focused games and giving a voice to some of the extraordinary Asian women who either developed these games, or voiced of our beloved characters, through a series of interviews.

In the first of this Asian Women in Games series, Project AWR interviews Jasmine Chen, Stephanie Wong, and Nhi Do—all based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They lend their voices to bring life to several characters in 1000XRESIST and we’re excited to explore the game and their experiences.

Next up, from indie studio sunset visitor 斜陽過客, Natalie Tin Yin Gan—writer for their upcoming game 1000xRESIST speaks with Project AWR about the story of 1000xRESIST and her journey into writing for video games!
