In our last Meet the Characters post we introduced you to The Guiding Light, The Tower's ex-Head of Security, as well Aspire: Ina's Tale's cutest character, The Flumye.

Today we take a look at Thief & Joker, two prisoners of The Tower who help Ina as she journeys towards freedom.



A nimble, sneaky creature who understands the nature of life and death: no one takes anything in the end. This is why he is so liberał about other people's things.

Afraid and frightened, he hides amongst the shadows, trembling & anxious whenever he needs to speak with someone.

When Ina stumbles across him, he and Joker are in cages, in the dungeons of The Tower.



The jester who utters the inconvenient truths no one else dares to say.

Flippant and clever, he enjoys being the center of attention, usually in the most exaggerated, extravagant way.

Not much is known about this mysterious jokester when Ina first meets him in the dungeons. What does he have to tell her?

Last time we introduced you to the mother of The Tower, The Architect, as well as our protagonist herself, Ina.

Today we take a look at the one-time Chief of Security at the Tower, The Guiding Light. We're also going to take a peek at the cutest creatures in Aspire: Ina's Tale, The Flumye.



The Guiding Light was once called Justice and was the one in charge of security and enforcement within The Tower. His duties, however, were deemed far too terrible, and over time they took their toll.

Justice could no longer take it so they went through a metamorphosis of sorts, taking on a new shape and name. They then began to wander The Tower as The Guiding Light, to help those in need, instead of punishing those who dared to trespass.



There used to be many kinds of Flumyes, each created for a specific purpose, but now very few specimens remain.

These small machine-like beings were made using the souls of those ensnared by The Tower. Never has something so sinister looked so cute.

They are portable sources of magical light and energy.

We're happy to give you a first glimpse of the main characters!


[h2]Ina[/h2]
Originally from Kamiura, a tiny village in the outskirts of the Silvery Sea, Ina was raised by her father to become a priestess in his stead.

Sweet and generous, she was always ready to help those in need, but it was her dreamer nature that drew the Towers attention, as it called to her and took her away from her family. Now, all she wants is to leave this dreadful place and return home.

Her arch goes from a scared little girl to a self-assured young woman, and represents the very essence of the title "Aspire": how can we become more than we already are?


[h2]The Architect[/h2]
The Architect is a proud mother: she may not have given birth to the Tower, but she was the one who shaped it, molded its paths and geography.

Therein lies the dubious nature of their relationship: the Architect is aware of the Tower's predatory nature, but she is proud nonetheless - of her work, her creations, and their development. She is thorough and meticulous, but also caring and affectionate.
