More Choices, More Challenges, More to Discover
This demo offers an hour of gameplay, introducing players to the corrupting force of Entropy and the horrors it has unleashed. Newcomers can learn the fundamentals with an included tutorial, while returning Inquisitors can test new strategies and refine their skills and demonstrate their combat prowess against a formidable first boss.
Three Playable Classes
Where the first Demo gave a taste of combat with a single class, this time, you’ll have three distinct options, each with its own playstyle and abilities.
 • Vanguard: A relentless warrior, wielding heavy weapons and overwhelming enemies with sheer force.
 • Spellbinder: A cunning magic-wielder that has power over pure chaotic energies.
 • Nightshade: A swift and deadly assassin-style class that favors poison, daggers, and precise attacks.

Your class will shape how you fight, survive, and carve a path through the darkness.

In this Demo, you can also try out the first iteration of the Steam Deck-optimized version of the game!

Prepare yourself. The world is changing, and the fight for its survival begins now.

System Requirements and Console Performance

The release of Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is fast approaching on April 17, so it’s time to talk about the PC system requirements and the performance of the game on our supported consoles.

I’m Krisztian Varaljai, Development Director of Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree, and I’m here to guide you through the various versions of the game and their performance.
PC System Requirements
From the very beginning, our goal has been to make sure the game can run on the widest variety of hardware possible, including support of graphics cards from 2016 and later.

There are three, more demanding settings that we suggest tweaking to best fit your hardware: post-processing quality, fog quality, and depth of field quality. By setting those to “low” or “medium”, and everything else to “high”, you should be able to run the game at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second on the following minimum configuration:
 • Processor: Intel Core i5-6500 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or similar
 • Memory: 8 GB RAM
 • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD RX 480 or similar
 • DirectX: Version 12

If you want to run the game at a higher resolution, you’ll need a better-performing graphics card, because Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is mostly dependent on GPU performance. However, going to higher resolutions will also require a somewhat faster processor as well.

For stable 1440p performance, we recommend the following minimum configuration:
 • Processor: Intel Core i5-7600k or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or similar
 • Memory: 16 GB RAM
 • Graphics: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 8 GB or RX 6600 XT or similar
 • DirectX: Version 12
Speaking of 4K, as with all games, the requirements get a little steeper if you want the game to run at a native resolution. Based on our tests paired with a stronger CPU, an RTX 2080 or equivalent should be able to keep the game running at 60 frames per second, with the settings mentioned above adjusted.

However, to help players with older hardware run the game at the highest possible resolution and visual settings, we are planning to introduce DLSS and FSR at launch on April 17 (and possibly other upscaling technologies in later patches).

What about the Steam Deck? The answer is easy and pleasant: the Steam Deck can run the game at 60 frames per second while maintaining medium to high settings. If you have pre-purchased the game and have access to our Game Preview 2, you can already see this in action. To give you the best possible Steam Deck experience, we are currently working on a Steam Deck-specialized user interface, so everything will be fully readable and optimized by the time the full game hits Steam on April 17.
Console Quality and Performance
We did not want to make any compromises when defining the performance and quality target of the console versions, and we are happy to report that both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will run Mandragora in a smooth and stable way.

Xbox Series X and the base PlayStation®5 will target native 1800p resolution at 60 frames per second. Xbox Series S targets native 1080p resolution, also at 60 frames per second.

Utilizing the extra GPU power of the PlayStation®5 Pro, players will have the ability to choose between two graphic modes: Quality Pro and Performance Pro. Quality Pro will target a native 4K resolution while maintaining stable 60 frames per second, while Performance Pro mode is aiming for 120 frames per second at a native 1440p target resolution. To enable Performance Pro mode, you will need a compatible display.

We hope to see you (in a frame-rate stable fashion) on April 17!
