Well, well, what do we have here? A new Inquisitor, eh? If you want to learn more about what
Faelduum has to offer—you’ve come to the right place. The name’s
Gerald Borough, and I’m the map-keeper and explorer extraordinaire around here, so anything you need to know, come to me.
Each corner of
Faelduum is more mysterious and mystical than the last, from sprawling cities filled with finery to dark forests oozing evil, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a land better suited for the task ahead. As Entropy blackens the world, and monsters roam the once-safe streets, it’s best to know your way around…
Without further ado, let’s explore a few noteworthy places in
Faelduum.
Crimson City
Ah, the
Crimson City. The bastion of humanity, some say, under the everlasting control of the King Priest. This is also where you and your fellow Inquisitors call home.
North of the city is shadowed by the
Gloomroot Woods, and on the east is
Feralwood, while the south is composed of plains and fields as far as the eye can see. Just beyond is
Wickham, a city you’ll probably frequent quite often.
Wickham
If you’re going to travel around
Faelduum, you’ll need to know about
Wickham.
This city is safe behind its sturdy walls, housing history in every brick.
Wickham grew around an old monastery long ago, and still feels like a place of refuge to many travelers. Half of Wickham boasts fancy streets and a noble enclave… or at least it did until it was taken over by monsters a few years ago.
Fancy a pint after a hard day's hacking-and-slashing, spell-casting, or general adventuring? Head down to the
Wickham Inn, home to many… interesting people. There’s also
Old Wickham, a run-down section of the city from years gone by, which some residents can’t bear to leave.
Finally, we have the
Wickham Sewers—a favourite spot for bandits and other unsavoury characters. As one of the most developed sewer systems in
Faelduum, we have to give it its dues—it’s certainly worth a visit.
Feralwood
A natural frontier between
Crimson City and
Wickham,
Feralwood was recently home to bands of bothersome bandits, but ever since those wolf howls began, the bandits buggered off!
Feralwood is your run-of-the-mill dark, dank, and dangerous forest, so watch your step, and your back.
Witch Tree
In the heart of
Feralwood lies a calm and eerie place—the
Witch Tree. This area is safe in an unnatural way, and seems to inexplicably draw certain souls to it, as if they’re being whispered to…

There you have it, Inquisitor—a little insight into the places you’ll go. You can never be too prepared or careful in Faelduum!
