The Brine Revolver: A masterfully crafted semi-automatic sidearm designed for reliable critical strikes. Built for precision and power, the primary fire mode excels in close-quarters combat, delivering consistent damage to deal with nearby enemies, while the secondary fire lets you pick off distant foes while aiming down its sight.
The Engine Rifle: A powerhouse of the depths, the Engine Rifle earns its name from its fiery temper. Use your secondary weapon to rev the engine into overdrive, unleashing bursts of raw power while pushing heat levels to the brink.
The Shotgun: A true staple of any FPS arsenal, this juggernaut is built for delivering sheer devastation at close range. Unleash a relentless spread of bullets that tear through guardians with raw stopping power.

Your progression won't be wiped during these playtest sessions. You’ll be able to come back, pick up right where you left off, and continue to explore the Abyss throughout the Alpha phases.

Wondering what awaits you at the bottom of the ocean? Well, be ready for:

Solo or Co-op Experience: Dive into the depths solo or team up with up to three of your buddies!
Luxuriant and mysterious ruins: Explore and survive in two areas swarmed by corrupted ennemies
Two Boss Battles and Miniboss Fights: Challenge yourself against some tough opponents.
Powerful Blessings and Weapon Mods: Try out different skills and gear to discover what playstyle suits you best.

[h3]What feedback are we looking for?[/h3]
We're launching an Alpha to ensure Abyssus will deliver the best possible experience. This early test phase aims at stress-testing our servers and gathering valuable feedback about the game's features, mechanics, and overall gameplay.
To make your feedback as impactful as possible, please let us know what you think about:

Progression: Do upgrades feel impactful?
Difficulty: Is the challenge level enjoyable? Well paced?
Weapons: What do you think about the balance? The gunfeel?
Abilities: Which one did you prefer? Why?
Gods: Again, which one did you prefer, and why? What do you think about the synergies? Do you have favorites?
UI & UX: Does the interface feel intuitive? Is it easy to understand and read? Could some mechanics be explained better?

[h3]Any bugs to look out for?[/h3]
Because our game is still in Alpha, it unfortunately still has a few bugs here and there. None should greatly hinder your progression, but feel free to check out our list of Known Issues to look out for: https://dotemuhelp.groovehq.com/help/abyssus-technical-support-guide

FPS Abyssus is allowed to call itself ‘brinepunk’ but you all need to stop this nonsense immediately afterward

Anyone who is not trying to sell your something will tell you that ‘punk’ is a mostly meaningless term, mainly popularised by Malcolm McLaren and Vivian Westwood so they could sell bondage gear to teenagers. It is, of course, very punk of me to recognise this. However, this hasn’t stopped every other videogame released in the last 74 years trying to coin their own punk subgenre. The latest to do so is ‘brinepunk’ FPS Abyssus, which seems to have mostly arrived at the terms by being ‘a bit Steampunk, but underwater’. Abyssus looks cool, and so with the power vested in me by the Greggs vegan sausage roll I had for lunch today, I hereby declare that this is the last game allowed to do this. Let’s see if it’s making the most of it, at least.
