Requisition VR release postponement

Hey Nevermonsters,

We decided to move the Early Access date of Requisition VR to October 20th.

We are making this tough decision to give ourselves a few extra weeks to polish and finish the game. Our main goal is to provide you with the best game experience.
Requisition VR is full of different modes, locations, characters, and our main feature - crafting weapons, but to make it perfect, we need more time for fixing, polishing, and playtesting.

Along with this, we'd like to thank you for providing dozens of feedback messages during the Closed Beta Tests. We've already implemented some changes according to your answers.

This was not an easy decision to make. Eventually, we want to be sure we deliver the highest quality game experience you will enjoy.

Thank you for understanding, and we'll see you in Nevermont soon!

Locations - Lonely house with the bunker

No one believed Walter and that was what killed them.

Even his son Jacob was a stubborn man who refused to share his constant fear of the world ending.

They would all regret it.

That’s what he thought, building an underground bunker under his cozy hut in the middle of the forest. He stuffed it with canned food and protein bars knowing that when the day would come they would all thank Walter and ask for the help.

Oh how they would regret…

Walter looked into the bathroom mirror. The cold running water cooled down his burning face and rapid thoughts from all the hard work he’s done. He was 62 and it took him almost seven years to finish the bunker he was really proud about. He definitely knew that the day he was dreaded about the most would come. It was this sinking feeling in his gut causing him to wake up in cold sweat every night. He knew that their local government was too shady about the closed part of the city and nuclear power plant. Something was going on. Something bad.

Jacob called him that morning to know if he was alright.

He was. Except something buzzing inside his head causing him to have almost no sleep last night. His senses, almost like dogs’, were going crazy, making him thrilled and nervous about everything that happened around him. Walter could jump up when the phone rang or the mailman came with his morning paper. He would go downstairs to the bunker to calm himself by looking at the walls that could protect them, to the warm light giving this area slight comfort.

He was going to be just fine.

Jacob called him that day to say that Walter needed to stay inside.

But he already knew after all these noises and explosions what was going to happen.

He locked himself in the bunker. He started to pray. He could see himself living here for a very long time. He could see himself surviving.

Too bad no one listened to him when there was time.

Walter sat on the floor and closed his eyes.

Locations - Farm

Jen and Ben… what an odd combination… were indeed the odd combination.

A police officer and a junkie weren’t the most strange companions during the end of the world. But they certainly could draw some attention and became characters for the guide “How to survive an apocalypse 101”.

Tip №1. Find a companion who makes you laugh or at least tries…

- Sooooo… Last night while you were sleeping I was brave enough to be on duty… - Jen shoots him a deadly glare which was her usual glare when Ben said or did something, - oh don’t give me the evil eye… you remember those delicious ice cream… Ben and Jerry and we are Ben and Jen… got it?

- Dude, now I want ice cream and blow your brains out… get up, we should leave and find a better safe place. Let’s check the farm we saw the other night.

Tip №2. Don’t dwell on past, think positively and keep searching

- This place looks like a total nightmare.

For the first time Jen totally agreed with Ben. An old abandoned farm sended shivers down her spine with its old creaky houses and dead silence. She thought of this place when it was full of life and hard work of people who lived here. There must be tons of cute animals and farmers who cared about them. And now what? They were all eaten by hordes of unknown monsters or became monsters themselves…? She thought of a zombie cow and shuddered.

When she saw this farm afar she was full of hope that this place would have some people in it. She imagined it being defended, crowded with survivors and stacked with food and water. She hated the feeling of being alone, she always had someone to get her back. Working in the police she had her partner but Ray didn’t make it after the last horde invaded their camp and now she was stuck with Ben.

- Just let’s find something we can use and maybe stay the night here.

Tip №3. Be open to the new experiments

- No bullets, no guns… what the hell is it…

Jen stopped her searching and looked at Ben with an unreadable expression when the sound of duct tape caught her attention. There was something in his hand she couldn’t put a name on but Ben looked so proud standing inside a creepy farm house that used to be a barn with what looked like cow feeders and rolls of hay around.

- That’s a killer weapon! No zombie will stay alive!

- That’s a rake and three knives attached to it with the duct tape. Who are you gonna kill with it?

- What’s your ultimate weapon, smart ass?

- Easy, the gun, - Jen showed her old trusty gun that saved her life many times even before everything started.

- Yeah? And what if one day you will wake up and realize that no bullet left in this world? - Ben smiled like he was saying something funny, but that didn’t make Jen laugh. She felt this punch of fear when she realized that he was right. The world was slowly dying, the resources were decreasing and soon or later if she was alive she had to learn how to defend herself without bullets.

- Okay… show me what and how you did it.

Tip №4. Try to be quiet

It was supposed to be the ordinary farm. But a huge territory looks like it just became a ghost town with no one around. It felt like people just disappeared or went to sleep. The tractors stayed untouched, the hay was just there waiting to be eaten by animals. The only strange thing here was Ben. Damn Ben.

- That’s ridiculous. You can go around with this stuff.

- Why? - he was clearly showing off with that thing he made earlier. Jen was slowly adjusting to the fact that his crazy mind had suddenly get more crazier and instead of being the Professor Stupid Jokes he suddenly became a Professor Bizzare Craft. Now he was holding the hammer with the broken attached to it, - oh man, I would love to ride on this thing, - his gaze focused on a tractor.

- No, you wouldn’t.

- Why?

- Because the whole friendly neighborhood of zombies will come here to join your ride. We are not in the video game, grab your whatever it is and let’s search the last house.

Tip №5. Be ready for everything

- What in the world had happened here?

The last place to scavenge was beyond their expectations. Instead of feeders and hay the two saw something that was much scarier than monsters trying to kill them.

Body parts laying around. Blood. Body in a plastic. And the cherry on the top is a giant cross with a zombie attached to it.

- Nothing good, but we better be quick, Ben. I’m not sure I want to meet someone who did it. That’s just… awful. I am sorry I said your weapons were the worst… I think there are more awful things in this world than it.

- Glad you appreciated it. Okay, let’s hurry and find something else besides this… ew! Human hearts.

Tip №6. Be cool and have fun

Turned out the farm wasn’t the creepiest place they met on their journey.

Ben being a dork had some secrets on his sleeves and he saved their lives not just once.
Jen used to his jokes and learnt how to craft, no longer relying on the power of the gun with no bullets in it.

These two were just fine.
