Hello witches!

It's finally here - our gardening update is ready to play! We've been so excited to share this content with you, and we can't wait to see your witchy gardens.



Roots & Remedies will have you growing your own crops and flowers, concocting magic and healing potions, and uncovering more quests and points of interest. With loads of pots and planters to unlock, you can really get creative with how you organize your garden. We've also added a new menu which will make switching between your items much easier!



We've also added a feature we're very passionate about... Talking to the animals! Once you've brewed a special potion, you'll be able to speak with your furry and feathery companions for a short period of time. We know how much you loved picking the animals up (and sometimes stealing them!), so we hope you'll love this addition as much as we do.



[h3]More is yet to come! [/h3]

We've had so much fun working on this gardening update, but now we'll be concentrating our efforts on what's coming next. We're looking at ways to bring more excitement to the maps, as well as more story and overall polishes and improvements.

Hello, witches!

Spring is in full bloom, and what better way to celebrate this season than by growing your own herbs and vegetables? We've made that possible in REKA's next update, Roots & Remedies, coming this month on May 12th!

[h2]Grow your own way [/h2]

There's loads of pots and planters to unlock in this new update, as well as different vegetables and flowers to grow! From pumpkins to poppies, furnish your home with nature's best decorations, use your crops as ingredients for cooking, and even concoct a very special potion...



[h2]Craft the Tonic of Connection to talk to animals![/h2]

We saw how much you loved being able to pick up and hold your furry and feathery companions, so we've gone one little step further... You'll be able to speak to them too! From items you've grown in your chicken-legged hut, you'll be able to make the Tonic of Connection, a magical potion that allows you to chat with your animal friends for a short period of time.



[h2]New quests and points of interest[/h2]

As you're exploring the woodlands you'll notice a few more points of interest and villagers requesting your help. There's also an artist for you to speak to... Maybe there's a way they'll be willing to part with their paintings?



[h2]A fresh new look [/h2]

Alongside new items, mechanics, animations, and more, we've also spruced up our UI. We've introduced a new menu which will make switching between items a lot easier!

A big thank you to those who playtested this update a couple weeks back. Your feedback has been so helpful, and we're really excited to release our Roots & Remedies update!

We're back with another mini dev update to show you what we've been working on behind the scenes! Lots has been happening, and while we focus on the content for our next big update, there's a few exciting things we wanted to mention. 🧙‍♀️

[h3]A sneak peek at flax flowers! [/h3]

Gardening will be coming to our next major update, and we've been having so much fun adding different plants. Here's a little look at flax flowers - you'll be able to grow these and decorate your cottage with them!

[h3]We made a cookbook with all your recipes! [/h3]



Over on our Discord, we held a cooking competition where we had loads of hearty and wholesome recipe submissions. We decided to gather all these culinary delights together and create The REKA Recipe Book! From mini cinnamon roll cheesecakes to warming stews with winter roots, there's something for every chef. The winner of the competition was Robert with their Sweet Potato Pumpkin Soup!

[h3]We're part of the Games with Wings showcase! [/h3]



Games with Wings is spotlighting games led by women, and we've been included in their showcase happening tonight at 11AM PT/ 7PM GT! We're also part of the Women's Day Sale (REKA will be 25% off until 5th March! ), alongside a wonderful selection of uniquely crafted games.

Hello witches,

This is just a gentle reminder that the previous Beta branch updates will now be going live on the Main branch today.

These updates included bug fixes to the Halloween update and overall performance improvements. Here's a list of all the patch notes.

Thanks to everyone who played the Beta branch and left us feedback. Because of your help, we were able to make the following changes also coming to the Main branch today:

1. Fixed discord art contest winners Building Blocks (Painting of a Cake & Painting of green hills) not showing in your inventory (If you had found them before you will have to find them again)
   
2. Adjusted and reduced the small offset that is added to every building block as you place it
   
3. Dynamic Resolution is no longer active by default
   
4. Minimum Dynamic Resolution is set to 50%
   
5. Fixed a bug where switching displays between play sessions would break the game.
   
6. Fixed the map screen showing no biomes or rivers.
   
7. Default resolution is now FullHD 1920x1080 (When you open the game for the very first time on a computer)
   

[h3]IMPORTANT: A legacy branch has been created![/h3]

As we've said before, due to a bigger optimisation issue, this Main branch update will impact your save files. You will lose any incomplete quest progress. We're really sorry about this, but this is the last time this should happen as we've made big progress with the optimisation problem.

[h3]Before you download the update, we'd suggest completing any quests you'd like to finish, moving to a new map, and then saving. [/h3]

However, if you're not ready yet and would like longer on the current build, we've created a new Legacy branch. This branch your game will remain the same and you won't get any of the new updates. Details for the Legacy branch: Branch name: legacy Password: REKALegacyBranch
