I have a confession to make: I've never seen a single episode of the US Office, which remains an opaque and beautiful mystery to me, something I only brush up against when my downstairs neighbours put on yet another episode and the theme wafts up through the floorboards. I have played several hundred hours of Mass Effect, though, so I feel at least 50% qualified to tell you this Office/ME mashup is very well done indeed...

Mass Effect and more join the Steam Deck playable ranks

The Steam Deck and EA app have not been playing well together in recent times, but the tides have been changing. There are now even more games from the publisher being listed as 'Playable' on the Valve handheld gaming PC, including stonking hits like Mass Effect and the Need for Speed series.

Guardians of the Galaxy/Deus Ex prequel writer is BioWare's new senior narrative director




s spotted on the Resetera forums, Eidos-Montréal's executive narrative director Mary DeMarle has joined BioWare as a senior narrative director. DeMarle was most recently responsible for creating the story and leading the writing team on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, which had such excellent back-and-forth patter between its cast we declared it the new king of party banter. Before that, DeMarle oversaw all things Deus Ex, having been lead writer and narrative designer on Deus Ex: Human Revolution before becoming narrative director for the entire franchise...
