Mass Effect may go back to "classic format," rumors claim

Before Starfield there was Mass Effect, Bioware's iconic space game - although it certainly didn't age as well as the studio likely wanted it to. With the Dragon Age Dreadwolf release date seemingly a while off, and Bethesda's titanic space opera now out in the world, eyes have turned to what the next Mass Effect 4 might look like - and it's good news if you, like me, prefer the game's classic format over Andromeda's open world.

BioWare lays off roughly 50 employees: 'We must shift towards a more agile and more focused studio'

In a blog post that studio manager Gary McKay said was "deeply painful and humbling to write," BioWare announced that it is laying off roughly 50 employees in order to "preserve the health of the studio and better enable us to do what we do best: create exceptional story-driven single-player experiences filled with vast worlds and rich characters."..

This Mass Effect/The Office mashup convinced me Michael Scott is the canonical Commander Shepard

I have a confession to make: I've never seen a single episode of the US Office, which remains an opaque and beautiful mystery to me, something I only brush up against when my downstairs neighbours put on yet another episode and the theme wafts up through the floorboards. I have played several hundred hours of Mass Effect, though, so I feel at least 50% qualified to tell you this Office/ME mashup is very well done indeed...

The Steam Deck and EA app have not been playing well together in recent times, but the tides have been changing. There are now even more games from the publisher being listed as 'Playable' on the Valve handheld gaming PC, including stonking hits like Mass Effect and the Need for Speed series.
