We've reworked the melee system to bring fast-paced combo attacks! Now, you can chain melee hits together for a smoother and deadlier combat experience.

💡 Pro Tip: Use Blast Immunity / Kinetics Absorber Nanoplugin to immune yourself from enemies melee.
(Note: Melee weapons aren’t available just yet—stay tuned for their arrival in the final mission area!)

A new year means exciting new developments! While we're hard at work behind the scenes on something special, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news about Banzai Escape 2: Subterranean. The game has officially entered its final phase of development!

The sisters' journey is nearing its dramatic conclusion as they venture into the ominous Abandoned Labs—their ultimate destination.
This critical mission will be titled:

We’re thrilled to bring you the latest updates for Banzai Escape 2: Subterranean! Here's what’s new:

Patch 45.3

• Fixed Limit text character to prevent overflow text limit error
  
• Fixed when either of player is dead, campaign mission cant proceed
  
• Fixed camera customization glitch on 2nd player coop
  
• Attempt Fixing on chat during mission cant put chat because cant focus chat window (need further test)
  

Patch 45.2

• Fixed Costumes selection sometimes produce error on code
  
• Fixed Coop event enemies wrongly appear causing errors
  

Good news, gamepad users! The game now offers enhanced controller support for smoother gameplay.
Navigating menus is easier than ever with standard control inputs, eliminating the need for mouse cursor simulation.

We’ve tested this update with PlayStation and Xbox controllers.
For other controller types, the game will default to Xbox controller settings.
Unfortunately, Steam Deck support isn’t available yet, as it requires a Unity update to configure for the latest Steam Deck devices.
However, community controller mappings are available as a workaround.

Known Issue

• Unplugging your controller during gameplay may cause errors, so we recommend keeping your controller connected to avoid interruptions.
  
• If you are alt+tab windows, it will lose focus on selection menu thus rendering controller unusable. To solve this, click any button (by using mouse) to make the selection highlighted again for navigation. This issues will be solve on next update
  
• Some settings might not work and require mouse, such as color hue selection. This is because how to game is made with mouse/keyboard in-mind. It may not be solve on next update
  

We know that aiming with a controller can be challenging at times, making it difficult to hit your target accurately during intense gameplay.
To address this, we’ve implemented aim-assist, designed to improve precision and make your shooting more consistent.
This feature is available for both keyboard/mouse and controller users:

Default Sensitivity Settings

• Mouse/Keyboard: 0.1
  
• Controller: 0.5
  

The settings can be adjust in options.
Aim-assist helps you stay on target but still factors in your weapon's accuracy stats, keeping the gameplay fair and skill-based.


For new players, identifying cover areas can be tricky. To address this, we’ve added a UI indicator that highlights nearby cover areas.
Now you’ll know where to crouch and take advantage of defilade to avoid enemy fire. most of enemy fire.


To those mischievous, traitor sisters tampering with weapon save files—your reign ends here!
Save files are now more secure, making them significantly harder to modify with basic tools.
While not completely unhackable, this update adds an extra layer of protection to preserve game integrity.
