Update 0.30 Patch Notes

New Features

- three new islands added in the Aestrin region, along with new trade goods and new items available for purchase on the new islands

- added cooking pots, which can be used to cook soups. Soups should function as a more convenient way to consume small food items such as sliced fruits and vegetables, but you can put any food into your soup. The soup cooking system should feel quite intuitive - simply add water and any food items, and cook on the stove until it turns a rich brown color, then drink it straight from the pot to gain both calories and water. Soups also retain all nutrients present in the food you put into it, and provide some additional nutrition when cooked. But be careful - soups will spoil quite fast!

Gameplay Changes
- added more fruits for sale in shops in all regions
- cargo transport service is now available in Sunspire
- picking up a stove with items on it will no longer drop the items on the ground
- the list of trade goods in the trade menu is now ordered in a better way, grouping similar goods together

Bug Fixes
- partially fixed some physics issues that affected some ships after sleeping (including the sanbuq wiggle bug)
- fixed collision issues with drying racks
- you can no longer put lanterns, hooks, and other items which can be hung on walls inside crates

Update 0.29.1 Patch Notes

- fixed a bug where the navigation manual scroll would spawn instead of the tutorial scroll when starting a new game in Al'Ankh
- added a furniture shop in Kicia Bay
- fixed a graphical bug with the new ship's rigging

Update 0.29 Patch Notes

Update 0.29 is finally live! Here is a summary of the changes and new features.

- New ship
A new large ship is now available for purchase at Kicia Bay, in Fire Fish Lagoon.

- Storage crates
You can now store items in crates. Each crate has a limited amount of storage slots, and each slot can hold any small item, just like your inventory.

- Food spoilage and preservation
Fresh food will now spoil unless preserved. Food can be dried, smoked or salted to keep it from spoiling. An in-game food preservation guide is available for purchase in the capital cities.

- Nutrition system
You will now need to eat a certain amount of fruits and meat or fish in order to prevent scurvy or malnutrition.

For a more detailed description of the new food and storage features, see the previous news post here.

- several new large sails are now available in the Dragon Cliffs and Kicia Bay shipyards
- added several new kinds of food for purchase in various locations
- updated the look of the player inventory UI
- added a currency exchange in Kicia Bay

Gameplay changes
- the time it takes to fully cook food in a stove will now depend on the size of the item. Sliced food will cook faster, while large pieces of meat or whole fish might take three or more logs to fully cook.
- the stove will now display the current amount of firewood in it and its total firewood capacity
- lanterns will now remember their lit status between saving and loading the game
- removed the highlight delay when interacting with cargo crates and barrels (furniture still has the delay, to make accidental interaction less likely)
- added a setting for throwing items with the pickup/drop key (off by default)

Bug fixes
