Lidia Sobieska is the second DLC character for TEKKEN 8, more updates revealed

[h2]TEKKEN 8 revealed its roadmap for the months to come, which includes battle adjustments, free additions and second DLC character, Lidia Sobieska.

[h3]Starting this spring, battle adjustments will be made as the development team continues to work on improving the balance of the game as well as the player experience.

This summer, the first free updates will be out, including the release of a new stage, the Seaside Resort, and introducing the Photo Mode.

In Autumn, a brand-new story, involving Eddy Gordo, will come for free to TEKKEN 8. Additional modes, such as Ghost vs. Ghost or Online Practice are planned to be added at a later date.[/h3]

[h3]Last but not least, the Prime Minister of Poland, Lidia Sobieska, makes her return in TEKKEN 8. She will be available this summer with an early access for Character Year 1 Pass owners.[/h3]

Beloved Tekken 8 character arrives, but brings trouble with them

A few months after launch, Tekken 8 has received its first DLC character in Eddy Gordo, a fan-favourite veteran terrifyingly proficient in the Afro-Brazilian martial art of capoeira. Eddy looks to be just as flashy and versatile as ever, manoeuvring around attacks and transitioning into a variety of tricky stances to keep his opponent guessing, ready to launch powerful counter attacks at any moment. All this, while maintaining a graceful dancing form. It's still too early to place him anywhere on a tier list, but he's already one of the game's prettiest characters to watch in action.

Tekken director asks why players keep requesting a Waffle House stage

Thanks to the explosion of short-form video on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, the American restaurant chain Waffle House has gained a reputation as a bit of a Fight Club venue (as well as for having excellent hash browns). Apparently that's spurred many Tekken 8 players to ask the game's director to add a Waffle House stage to the game.

During the specified period, players can increase their level by completing daily and weekly missions in online matches, allowing them to obtain various items.

A feature has been added to RANKED MATCH, QUICK MATCH, and GROUP MATCH modes to allow for the termination and invalidation of matches if the network connection quality falls below certain specified conditions.
An indication has been added to the versus screen in PLAYER MATCH mode to display when the stage has been randomly selected.
A QUIT option has been added to the MAIN MENU to allow the game to be exited from sources other than the options menu (Steam version only).

[h2]▼ Behavior/properties of moves will be adjusted for some characters.[/h2]
In version 1.03, continuing from the previous version 1.02, focus was placed on correcting unintended move behavior.
Work on an update focused on battle system balance is underway, but we are undertaking this with utmost caution by carefully evaluating user play data collected from around the world. Version 1.04 is scheduled for release in May following the conclusion of EVO Japan 2024.
Version 1.04 will primarily focus on buffing characters who haven't been able to fully showcase their uniqueness. However, adjustments to certain moves that exhibit significant strength will also be made.

[h2]▼ Scope of Update[/h2]
The application of the update data will result in the following impact on each mode and feature.
“DOWNLOADED REPLAYS”,”MY REPLAY & TIPS”: Replay data from before the update will be unavailable for playback.
“ONLINE REPLAY”: Replay data from before the update will be deleted.
“SUPER GHOST BATTLE”,”GHOST MATCH”: Character behavior and move properties will reflect that of the post-update state.
