Mountain Gate Save Error
Hey Campers! πŸ‘‹

A quick PSA from the dev team:
If you've made your way through the Mountain Gate to the final area of the game, please finish this whole section before quitting your save! Quitting the game after entering the final Mountain area of the game, through the large gate from the beginning of the game, can cause progression issues to occur so it's best to finish this section after entering, or save and exit before you enter.

For anyone who is currently experiencing this issue:
The team are working on a fix for this right now that we're aiming to have ready for our next patch! Save data should be restored with this update and you will be able to continue from the start of the Mountain Gate section.

If you have any other questions or are experiencing any other issues please leave them in the comments!
We hope you've been enjoying your adventure in Pine Hearts πŸ’š

Cozy new Metroidvania has Dark Souls design but a heart of gold

The best Metroidvania games have typically focused on combat, but highlights like the masterful Tunic and the recent, excellent Animal Well show how successfully the format can work when it leans more towards puzzle design rather than action. While both of those still involve a fair amount of peril, now, from indie developer Hyper Luminal and publisher Little Nook, comes Pine Hearts, a cozy new story-led adventure game that's just arrived on Steam.

Accessibility Creators Visit The HLG Studio! πŸ’š
Hey Campers! πŸƒ

We’ve got a very exciting update to share with you today πŸ’š
We recently organised a behind-the-scenes day for creators with various needs and understandings of the importance of accessibility options in games to have a hands-on experience with Pine Hearts!
Safe In Our World ambassadors therealpengy and Phoebe Hesketh, and content creators psykit and mousewastaken, advocate for and are involved in supporting accessibility and mental health awareness in games. We wanted to give them a hands on opportunity to test our accessibility features and learn more about the game's story and themes and why building something inclusive was so important to us at Hyper Luminal Games.

They got to chat with members of the team including Creative Director Rob Madden, UX/UI Designer and Accessibility Lead Searra Leishman, and Social and Community Coordinator Melissa Cocker about all things Pine Hearts. As well as testing various accessibility settings and our accessibility hardware set up for events, we chatted about the origins of the game's stories and themes.

You can see how the day went and hear more from everyone involved in the video below!
