Want to know who the best Vampire Survivors characters are? You only have the whip-wielding vampire hunter Antonio available when you first start this roguelike game, but by fulfilling specific requirements you can unlock more Vampire Survivors characters, weapons, and items to use in every run

Some Vampire Survivors characters are better than others, depending on their starting equipment or permanent bonuses; the likelihood of finishing a run is more of a certainty with the right build, especially if you use Vampire Survivor weapon evolutions to combine items to achieve their more powerful form.

Nearly every update adds a new Vampire Survivors character to the roster, so to help you get the best start to a winning run, we've picked a handful of characters we consider to be the cream of the crop. For each one, we'll go over their buffs and debuffs, starting weapons, and which Arcana you can choose to amplify the best build for that character.

Vampire Survivors Bone Zone update adds flower-farting dog

Vampire Survivor's latest character is a dog with the ability to fart out flowers. The powerful pupper was added to the hit indie game over the weekend as part of patch 0.5.1 and is very much as excellent as you'd imagine.

Vampire Survivor's cast of characters all have their unique abilities, though they all serve a similar purpose. The roguelike and bullet hell mashup sends waves of enemies your way, so you have to blast through them while managing your spacing appropriately or they'll swarm you. In case you were wondering, you can't pet this dog. They have a lot going on right now.

The new character arrives alongside other things in the new Vampire Survivors update. There's a new hard challenge stage called The Bone Zone that's essentially a room made of bones filled with levitating skeleton heads that float after you. Developer Poncle has also added one more rank for reroll and skip power-ups alongside two new arcanas. You've got heaps of tweaks and bug fixes, too.

- 1 more rank for Reroll and Skip powerups
- 2 new Arcanas

Tweaks:
- Added a toggle in Stage Selection to disable Arcanas. Disabling them also disables the extra minibosses at 11:00 and 21:00
- Added the option to pick a random first Arcana.
- Reduced long term gains of Gatti's attack power when stealing chicken.
- Halved projectile explosion damage from Arcana XIX - Heart Of Fire.
- Reduced cost of Reroll, Skip, and Banish.

Bugfixes:
- Tentative fix to chicken/coinbag choice presenting itself when there are still items that can be leveled up
- Phieraggi is now affected by Arcana V - Chaos in the Dark Night.
- Added an extra backup system for save data in %appdata%/Vampire_Survivors/saves/backups. These backups will not sync with Steam Cloud, so you can restore them manually if needed.
