Pirate Plunder & Various Improvements

Pirate Plunder
  • A new arcade game made to show off the upcoming Pirate Palooza DLC.
  • Gameplay is based off the pre-existing Pinchinko game, this time the entire table rocks back and forth!
  • 1 new Achievement & Leaderboard.
  • 2 Furs, 2 Cosmetics


Magical Meadows
  • Adjusted slingshot behavior.
  • Optimized performance.


Wonderful Willows
  • Recolored the plunger.
  • Optimized performance.


Wacky West
  • Fixed a problem ball location.


Misc.
  • Added an option in the settings menu to lock the game to 60 FPS.
  • Added the Pirate Palooza tables and ball to the main menu screens (not playable yet).
  • In the table select screen, you no longer have to wait until the sliding animation is done before moving to the next table.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes drop targets would play their spawn effects & sounds at the incorrect times.

  • A brand new table to celebrate the launch of Roxy Raccoon's Bowling Bash.
  • This table is visually designed to emulate a traditional bowling alley.
  • Focus on Bowling Pins serving as drop-targets.
  • Retro Pinball style influence but with a more modern, Roxy style take.
  • 2 Achievements & Leaderboards for all modes.

  • Nasty Nala has been added to the game as an alternate announcer!
  • You can toggle between Devious Donna and Nasty Nala in the settings menu.

  • A Playable bowling ball with a unique rolling sound has been added.
  • 3 Hats and 3 Furs are unlockable for Roxy.

  • Nasty Nala has been added to the character viewer.
  • Nasty Nala's banner added to the main menu for those who complete the chapter in Story Mode.

  • Cycling through the levels is no longer cyclical
  • Fixed a bug which caused some players being unable to access their current progression.

Bowling Bash Announcement & Minor Update

Bowling Bash Announcement

I am pleased to announce that there will be a free expansion coming to the game next week to celebrate the launch of Roxy Raccoon's Bowling Bash.
I have put together a small trailer showcasing some of the content which is attached to the bottom of the page.
There will be full patch notes released next week to explain everything in full detail.
Here are some key features of the update: New chapter in story mode (new cutscene), one new table, an alternate announcer, an unlockable bowling ball, 3 more cosmetic items & fur colors.

I will also be putting the game on sale, including all DLC. So now would be a good time to spread the word and to pick up any DLC you may be interested in! ːGrenadierː



Patch Notes:


  • There is a new Thunderbird which has been added to the following tables: Radical Railway, Wacky West. It replaces one of the ravens on each table.
  • Cleaned up the ending cutscene.
  • Minor behind the scenes optimization.
  • Performance improvements on Great Gamble & Graceful Games.

You may see achievements and leaderboards have already gone up, this is for testing purposes and the update won't be live until next week!

Table + Audio Improvements & Announcements on the future

Silly Circus
  • Added Kickback.
  • The table starts with kickback & this is also tied to the rollover mission. The rollover mission no longer grants ball saver.



Audio
  • The super gem has new and improved audio effects
  • Charming Chopper has improved explosion sounds on the rockets.
  • Barrel sound effects on Cowboy County improved
  • Lowered volume on Spark boxes on charming chopper & hectic highway
  • Lowered Volume on mushrooms on Wonderful Willows
  • Lowered Volume on slingshots on Graceful Games
  • Tables with more than 1 set of flippers have had their volume normalized to account for additional flippers



Bug Fixes & Misc.
  • The trials screen has been cleaned up - Titles of quests are underlined
  • Rapid Ryan on main menu is no longer using his Magic outline
  • Fixed a ball stuck location on Blissful Builder
  • Fixed a bug related to the new cutscene
  • Fixed a bug where the DMD volume did not always load the saved volume
  • Behind the scenes optimization
  • Raceways have received performance improvements.



Status Updates

I will start off by saying that Nectar has now been released and that development of Roxy Raccoon's Bowling Bash has been gone much better than expected, so I am ahead of my planned schedule.

That being said, there will still be no August DLC for pinball but I do plan on releasing something else exciting instead... details to follow in the near future.

My game plan in the future is to release a DLC pack approximately every 2 months, I will be going back to the 2 table per pack format. 2 Months is not set in stone, some tables take longer than others and it may be a 3 month gap in-between packs.

I would also like to continue to have a "focused theme" to both tables and focus on something new each time.

That being said, it's been brought to my attention that none of my existing tables use the Kickback mechanic, so I will be using it in both of the tables in the next pack. I also took a look at the pre-existing tables and saw that Silly Circus was an ideal candidate where I could easily add it in without changing the layout of the table.

Minor Story Addition & Other Improvements

New Cutscene
  • A new cutscene has been added that takes in place between Practice Playground & Hectic Highway has been added to the Story Mode. ***


Others
  • The power-boxes on Charming Chopper & Hectic Highway have new sound effects.
  • All tables with Racepipes have received minor performance improvements.
  • The plunger firing strength has been modified and randomness has been changed on the following arcade tables: Barricade Barrage, Catch-a-Rabbit, Firing Frenzy, Scary Scorer, Soccer Showdown, Whack-a-Rabbit.
  • Trial descriptions have been cleaned up on the following tables: Blissful Builder, Construction Chaos, Crazy Carnival, Graceful Games, Great Gamble, Hectic Highway, Magical Meadows, Practice Playground, Radical Railway, Silly Circus, Training Tracks, Wacky West, Wonderful Willows

Q: This is near the beginning, why was it added?

A: It was brought to my attention that the latter half of the game had the majority of cutscenes and that you play 4 tables in a row without any story in-between. This is to help with the game’s pacing. Not only this, but certain elements of the story were lost when converting the game from a 3D platformer to a pinball game and I felt this would help clarify a few things.


Q: I already beat this part of the story though, how does this impact me?

A: Unfortunately, you will not be able to access your current point in Story mode until you watch this cutscene. However, you can simply load it and click skip if you aren’t interested in watching it. Then simply quit out of Story mode and your previous progress will be restored. Sorry for the inconvenience.
