Ex Skyrim and Fallout dev's new open-world game is huge, and it's out now

Open-world games shouldn't be a glorified checklist. Giving you the choice to explore at your own pace isn't an excuse to stuff every corner of a virtual world with map markers, menial tasks, and repeating mini-games. Far too many games these days use size as a crutch, but some know how to make large worlds engaging. The Axis Unseen is one such game. From a former Bethesda developer who worked on Skyrim and Fallout, it's out now, and if you act fast you can grab it at a discount.

You might be interested in The Axis Unseen, which has just launched on Steam - it's the work of former Bethesda developer Nate Purkeypile, one of the big brains behind Blackreach.

Ex Skyrim and Fallout dev's monster hunting open-world game finally has a demo

The Axis Unseen is by far one of my most anticipated games right now. Blending an open-world hunting sim with cryptids from across cultures, it's a "heavy metal horror game" from solo developer Nate Purkeypile. After working at Bethesda as a lead artist on Skyrim, Fallout 4, Starfield, and more, Purkeypile struck out on his own. Using that knowledge of open worlds, Purkeypile is taking his expertise to a much more subdued experience, and you can try it on Steam right now.
