Snufkin has made his way back to Moominvalley! To celebrate the return, Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley was featured in Wholesome Direct 2023, where we shared a little background on the beloved character, created by the cherished author Tove Jansson.

In our brand new trailer we get a peek into the history, locations and characters that combine to create the inspiration for the world of Moomin characters – and how we’re bringing Snufkin to life in Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley.

Watch it below to see new gameplay footage as well as teasers for one of several never-before-seen cinematics beautifully crafted for the game, bringing Snufkin to the screen in a delightful new way.

With our Wholesome Direct feature also comes a new release window announcement. We hope you can see that Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a labour of love and craftsmanship from a small team dedicated to bringing these characters to screen with the uptmost care. As such, the game is now set to release in Q1 2024.

Out of Hibernation…

While the Moomins have been hibernating, Snufkin has been wandering the world around the valley. As such, we too have taken some time to overwinter (though rather than sleeping we’ve been hard at work with Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley production).

But Spring is blooming again and we are making our way back to Moominvalley, with Snufkin in tow. Expect to see much more from us as Spring turns to Summer. We can’t wait to show you more of our musical Moomin adventure game!

Wholesome Direct 2023

What better way to break hibernation than with a cozy game showcase?

You may have seen the news on our Twitter account, but we are thrilled to announce that Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley will be featured in Wholesome Direct 2023!

This will be the second year that Snufkin will be found at the showcase and it still feels like a dream to be taking part alongside so many wonderful games. So mark your calendars and be ready to get cozy with an hour of exclusive footage and announcements from 70+ indie games including Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley!

While we’re keeping things under wraps, we can say that you can look forward to a little bit of Moomin history alongside some brand new footage!

We are thrilled to have been invited to Day of the Devs 10th Anniversary celebrations both online and in-person, and we hope you'll join us there.

First up we have the digital event. This showcase will feature a select group of magical indie games, so who knows what other indies you might find too!

Join us July 14 - 18 right here on Steam for one of the largest digital expos about audio and music in games. Featuring concerts, deep-dives, and mashups from 70+ developers from around the world, prepare your eyes & ears for a unique event!

Starting at 10am PDT / 7pm CEST, a 4-day live show from July 14 to 17 will stream showcasing all the wonderful content made just for Save & Sound.

For Snufkin we will be streaming a lovely concert with game music composed by Oda Tilset, played with a live ensemble. Our segment will be Friday 15th at 1pm PDT / 10pm CEST 🏕
