There have been some new added systems to share since we last previewed the game in which NPC’s have a required profession. Your character, scarred by a history of betrayal, returns to the lowlands with a mission—to rally a rebellion and free the people from the grip of a tyrant. The core mechanics revolve around crafting and building various structures to raise a settlement from nothing. Your villagers will require housing, food, and protection! Utilize the building mechanics to provide cabins, foraging huts, and walls to stave off the perils around you. This game doesn’t pull any punches - efficient resource management and the strategic development of equipment are crucial in overcoming the political turmoil that plagues the land. Equip your units with different armor types and tools, along with an assortment of weaponry to further customize and optimize your army and settlement.

Every character and NPC in our game has their own unique attributes and specializations. You can recruit a level 1 villager and train them up to be a worthwhile soldier, or work to recruit an already well established knight to your cause. Bellwright also employs a fun but challenging directional combat, similar to games like Mount & Blade or For Honor. This makes combat engaging and skill-based, with every bout a unique encounter requiring the correct positioning and timing. Your skills will be put to the test as you engage in combat with the various brigands and bandits surrounding the lowlands. Many have set up camp, and the difficulty scales as the dynamic population escalates as you progress further through the game.

For enthusiasts of narrative depth, our game unfolds in an immersive world filled with voiced NPCs, each with unique towns, professions, and backstories! Dive into hundreds of rewarding quests that unveil the rich lore within the region.

Craft, build, trade, fight, or explore—'Bellwright' encapsulates the essence of a traditional medieval RPG. Play as a solo or raise a rebellion in co-op with your friends. By equipping the right gear, constructing a thriving settlement, and defending against the looming threats, you can ensure the land will prosper once again under your leadership as the Bellwright!
