It is the trailer we are going to analyze today. Learn more about how we proceed to create it from scratch.
First, we created
the first draft of what we want to show in the trailer. The names of the characters were not determined at this time. It only came some weeks after, and the community could vote for the names.
Then, we had to
write the lyrics, because we wanted to tell a story around these visuals. We iterated many times on them, to finally have to ones you all know:
I and my family are doing what we can to rise in the ranks of the Great Houses of Calderia,
The marriage of Bast to the daughter of our strongest rivals will secure important lands and funds to our House.
My son Bast had such a promise, but disasters struck again and again, a poet... really?
Then he met Camilla and now our Houses will be united!Then, we needed to
find someone, a voice, to embody The Duke. We selected Jonathan (Jono) Oldham for his strong powerful voice. Find his work
here. He did 3 different takes for the Duke's voice. We selected the one you can now hear.
To go with The Duke's voice, we needed a
piece of good music that could also fit the video and its dynamic. We chose Royalty-free music since we did not have a theme at that time. The music is called 'The Crown' by Alexander Nakarada:

After selecting all the above elements, we had to
record qualitative in-game footage for the video.
Then, Resistance Games, the development studio of the game, made some magic, edited, and created the Announcement trailer you all know!
