[h3]You did not think about going to war without units, did you?[/h3]

This week we’d like to share with you some of the units that will be in-game. These units will be used during battles and compose your army.



As you can see their designs are inspired by the Renaissance period / late Middle Age.

All these units have their own strengths and weaknesses. They have also bonuses and maluses depending on the battleground they are used in, your commanders’ traits, family’s traditions…

- Great Houses of Calderia Team -

The companions will be part of Great Houses of Calderia and have an important role in Calderia's land and your House destiny.

[h2]What are the companions?[/h2]
Companions are your advisors, your court members and other members of the social creme that will help you push your agenda through in social conflicts. They represent leaders of different aspects of life.

Companion illustrations gave us the opportunity to portray the unique features of Calderian society, dress and customs. Their appearance is based on Renaissance dress mixed with classical antiquity and a splash of fantasy elements.



These companions represent the justice system in Calderia.

Castellan is the highest-ranking officer in enforcement of the justice.
Courtrooms in Calderia are quite theatrical: Advocatus presents their arguments with white pearls, and Corrector with black pearls.
The Magistrate accepts or doesn't these arguments and places them on the scales of Justice accordingly. They also has their own golden pearls, which they can use to affect the outcome.

Everybody has access to these officials. For those that are prosecuted, an advocatus will be chosen by the court. This is not a choice that the individual makes.

- Great Houses of Calderia Team -

You, players, are important in the creation process of the game and we want to give you the opportunity to participate in the development of Great Houses of Calderia. A few months ago, you were able to vote for the names of the married couple characters. You chose the names Bast and Camilla. Then, we created a trailer including them.

Last week we opened a vote session for three other trailer protagonists: the Mistress of Coins, Camilla's mother, and the Duke. You had the possibility to vote in our Discord for these new characters' names. We decided to give 4 choices for each.

• Mistress of coins: Taiel, Penelope, Ola, Amara
  
• Camilla's Mother: Dedra, Petronilla, Letizia, Maria
  
• The Duke: Jarlan, Maximilian, Cervel, Carlos
  

All of the names here were proposed by the community and have a special significance related to the characters' state of mind, job, or look.

[h2]And here are the results:[/h2]


Amara is in the Igbo language, spoken in Nigeria and other parts of Africa, meaning “grace”.
Letizia is coming from the Latin name Laetitia, meaning "happiness" or "gaiety".
Maximillian is derived from the Latin Maximus meaning "the greatest".
