Hello Mercenaries,

We are excited to welcome players joining the mercenary guild of Kairos and beginning their journey in Return Alive. With this Global CBT, we hope to gather feedback for the official release of the game as well as test the game’s technical aspects, such as bug testing, server stability, and more.

The Global CBT will run on Steam from 7:00 UTC+0 Thursday June 29, 2023, until 7:00 UTC+0 Friday July 7, 2023. We thank you for all your support and participation during this period.

If you are interested in joining the Global CBT, simply request access to the CBT on our store page on Steam. Once you have signed up, you will be able to gain access to the CBT.

[Q]: When is the Global CBT (Closed Beta Test) Period Running?

[A]: The Global CBT Period will run from June 29, 2023 (Thu) 07:00 (UTC+0) until July 7, 2023 (Fri) 07:00 (UTC+0).


[Q] How can I access the Global CBT?

[A] The CBT can be accessed by signing up on our game’s Steam Store page and clicking the Request Access button. Once you have signed up, you will be able to gain access to the game.


[Q]: What Content will be available in the Global CBT?

[A]: We will have three playable characters for players to choose from (Ned, Yuni, and Urth) along with many character enhancing systems. For PVE, we will have two battlegrounds (PVP and Non-PVP Options) available for players to explore: Zeliarde and Valtan (Glasstone Desert only). For PVP, we will have Survival, and Solo Deathmatch modes available.


[Q]: Will progress from the Global CBT carry over into the official release?

[A]: Data and progress from the Global CBT will be wiped after the test has concluded and will not carry over to the official release.


[Q]: Can I stream or capture gameplay during the Global CBT?

[A]: Yes! Participants in the Global CBT are not tied to an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), so they may stream, record, clip, or screenshot the game as much as they like. If you do create content, make sure to tag us on social media (Or use the hashtag #ReturnAlive) or share it in our Discord so we can see it too!


[Q]: My friend is also participating in the Global CBT. Can I play with them?

[A]: Yes! While in the lobby, pressing one of the + icons next to your character will allow you to search for your friend’s in-game name to add to your party and to your friend’s list as well.


[Q]: What languages are available in the Global CBT?

[A]: We will have two language options available for players: Korean and English


[Q]: I’m having issues with the game/encountered a bug I’d like to report/would like to share some feedback for the game. Where could I do that?

[A]: We have a Bug Report channel and a Feedback channel on our Official Discord for players to report any issues they’re experiencing. or improvements they may have. For bug reports, please include as much detail as possible including any screenshots or videos to help aid us in fixing it.

To secure your spot in this exclusive CBT, follow the simple instructions below:

■ How to Register for CBT:

1) Visit the Return Alive Steam store page by going to the link below or by searching “Return Alive” in the search bar of Steam Store Page.

2) Look for the "Request Access" button on the Return Alive store page and click on it to pre-register for the CBT.


3) Confirm your registration by clicking "Request Access" again in the confirmation window that appears.


4) Congratulations! You are now officially signed up for the CBT pre-registration. If selected, you will receive a confirmation email granting you access to the game during the CBT period.

※ If we reach the target player count, the CBT registration may close earlier. We will announce if the registration closes earlier than the schedule above.

※ The schedule above may be subject to change. An announcement will be made should there be any changes to the schedule.

※ Players who had signed up for Korean CBT can play without separate registration once the Global CBT begins.

Please note that participation in the CBT will be on a first come, first served basis, and spots are limited. We strongly advise all interested players to register at their earliest convenience to secure their place in this exciting event.

The CBT will be on a first come, first served basis. Please note that there may be a limit on the number of players who may opt in for the CBT. We recommend players to sign up at your earliest convenience.
Players that have successfully signed up for the CBT will receive a notification by email if they are accepted to join the Global CBT for Return Alive.

Players who wish to sign up for the CBT may visit the Steam Store Page below after the start date for the registration and press the [Request Access] button to opt in.

Return Alive is a top-down quarter-view third person shooter game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players take on the role of mercenaries who must gather resources, compete with other players, and survive in a deadly battleground. The game offers a wide range of customization options for weapons and stats, allowing players to create their own unique playstyle.
