Storytelling contest rules

[p]To all contest participants, we'd like to remind you that following these simple rules can help you on your way to victory:

1. No AI usage[/p]
[p]Please remember that neural networks are permitted only for inspiration. Works fully or partially written by AI will not be accepted.[/p]
[p]2. Nickname and region required [/p]
[p]Each submission must be signed with the character's nickname and the region you play on. Otherwise, the work will not be accepted. [/p]
[p]3. One submission per participant [/p]
[p]Each participant may submit only one entry for the entire contest. If multiple stories or poems are submitted, only the first submitted work will be reviewed. [/p]
[p]4. Stick to the contest theme [/p]
[p]The short story/poem must be dedicated to the “Horrors of the Zone” season. You don't necessarily need to write about Myriapod or Roly-Poly Toy in your submission, but the horror theme must be maintained. [/p]
[p]5. Work length restrictions [/p]
[p]Short story — 300 to 1000 words. Poem — 1 to 5 quatrains. Works that do not meet these requirements will not be reviewed.[/p]

[p][/p][p]Hello, fellow inhabitants of the Zone![/p][p]It’s time to announce a new contest for the best short story about events taking place within our Exclusion Zone. Everyone is welcome to take part, and the finest works will be featured in safe zones inside the game![/p][p]Contest theme: Horrors of the Zone[/p][p]You may enter either of the two categories listed below.[/p][hr][/hr][p]One of the main prizes is a unique Storyteller’s Cloak[/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]Contest period: from 6 October to 3 November.[/p][p]Winners announced: on 24 November.[/p][h3]Contest Procedure[/h3][p]1. Choose the category you wish to enter:
• Short Story — a short narrative between 300 and 1,000 words;
• Poem — a poem of up to five quatrains.[/p][p]2. Write your piece, following the contest theme — Horrors of the Zone.[/p][p]3. Post your entry on one of our platforms in the designated sections according to your chosen category.[/p][p]Discord:

  • [p]All entries must be submitted in English language;[/p]
  • [p]When submitting your entry, you must include your character’s nickname exactly as it appears in the game, as well as the region you play on: RU, EU, NA, or SEA;[/p]
  • [p]Your work must be published in the dedicated section corresponding to your chosen category — Short Story or Poem;[/p]
  • [p]Each participant may submit only one entry;[/p]
  • [p]Only original works dedicated to STALCRAFT: X and created specifically for this contest are accepted;[/p]
  • [p]By submitting your work, you agree that it may be used by the project’s administration for marketing, advertising, or other purposes;[/p]
  • [p]Entries that are not directly related to the game, or that contain any kind of advertising material, are strictly prohibited.[/p]
  • [p]Your submission must not violate the game or platform rules, law of Republic of Kazakhstan, or contain offensive or Nazi symbols, references to banned groups or organisations, or any erotic content.[/p]
  • [p]EXBO reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose work is found to be in breach of clauses 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.3, 4.1.9, or 4.1.20 of the Licence Agreement;[/p]

Hotfix [03.10.2025]

[p][/p][p]The following changes have been made without stopping the game servers:[/p][p]• A problem with a shortage of caches in the “Scrap-Metal Man” quest has been fixed.
