Content Sneak Peek #1

Heya, wrestlers!

We’ve recently released the Auto-win QTE update, and we are glad to see a lot of you cats are feeling hyped about that, along with the new overworld run speed! We thought that it would be great to show you guys some of the work that we’re doing to make WrestleQuest the best game it can be:
  1. AP Regeneration - You’ll be able to replenish your sweatiness whenever QTEs or timed events are pressed successfully! (Yes, it includes when auto-win QTE is turned on.)



  2. Run Toggle - We heard you guys, and we adjusted the run to be a toggle instead of needing to hold it the entire time when running!

Auto-win QTE Enters the Fray!

Hey, wrestlers! Thank you for your support as we work on our promise to continue making WrestleQuest slamtastic.

We’ve heard the wrestle-voices, and we’ve listened! Today’s patch has one standout feature—Auto-win QTEs! This feature will automatically complete any button prompt during combat. You can toggle this on at any time in the options menu.



Additionally, we have some other fixes and polish for you:

Fixed Bugs
  • Players getting stuck on, in, and between objects
  • Cinematics causing softlocks in the game
  • Saving issues where there are missing components
  • Various combat issues with gimmicks not dealing damage in different conditions, and issues with healing gimmicks
  • Black screens being encountered randomly
  • Text typos and localization fixes
  • Visual layering issues where some objects are incorrectly on top of other objects
  • Disconnecting a gamepad when paused causes the UI to bug and block the game
Tweak and Adjustment
  • Hype Bar values are now shown all the time



  • Increased overworld run speed

    Above: Updated run speed; Below: Old run speed

  • Conveyor belt speed is now proportionate to player's run speed

Roadmap—More Baby Oil Incoming

Thanks to everyone who has joined us in the ring! We appreciate you, and your support for WrestleQuest.

We also appreciate all the suggestions. Our cat ears are open, and just like a good wrestler, we listen to the crowd. We’re managing everything in batches and prioritizing backward from risk and impact on the game. The team is committed to making this game do its push-ups so it gets stronger and stronger.

Expect some improvements and polish soon, including:
  • Adjustments to the run speed to put some spice in Muchacho Man’s step.
  • The game has several toggles for combat, including Max Damage, Invincibility, Slow QTEs, and Auto-pinning. However, we feel these were not adequately communicated, so we’ll add some in-game messaging to highlight them.
  • Our goal with the button prompts during combat was to keep players engaged and to make your attacks feel more impactful. However, many people prefer a combat experience without button prompts or QTEs. Therefore, we’re adding an option to Auto-win ALL button prompts and QTEs, not just those related to pinning.
  • Additional quest markers to help wayfinding at certain points of the story.
  • Improvements to combat UI, including better enemy health bars and hype meter improvements.
  • Better autosave triggers at key moments and before critical battles.
  • Cursor Memory during combat to make targeting easier than ever.
  • A slew of bug fixes and corrections.
  • Several other QoL improvements to menus and UI to make the experience smoother than ever!

This is the roadmap as it stands, as complete as we have at the moment, and it's being actively updated daily. We’ll be back next month with an update to our plan, and let you know in the meantime as these improvements make their way into WrestleQuest.

New Build for Players in China

Dear Chinese Players,

We are happy to announce that we just released a new build without the online features that were causing the game to fail to load for our players in China.

This build is available now, and will be the default version automatically for all players in China. For those that have already purchased the game, you only have to restart Steam, then update the game! You should see 0.2.1.92.9nt at the bottom right of the title screen.

Currently, this build is only available for Windows. We will have an additional build later this week for Linux/Steam Deck.
