Here are the details of this update:

[h2]New Additions[/h2]

• Learning lightness skills now increases corresponding Stamina points.
  
• Added the ability to open the corresponding skill panel by clicking on "Life Skill Mastery" in the ability panel.
  
• New feature: Quick Skill Upgrades.
  

[h2]Fixes and Optimizations[/h2]

• Fixed an issue where teammate dismissal conditions were not working correctly, allowing teammates to be dismissed at incorrect times.
  
• Players who encountered issues triggering the Four Martial Arts Families quest due to Lü
  Xian'er leaving the team can now re-enlist Lü Xian'er in Wutong Village.

Moved the Bureau Guard event where they deliver the Visage Spider to occur before the [MAIN STORY] Meeting the Mingjian Manor disciple at Gusu Pier, ensuring it triggers under the right conditions.
Fixed a bug where players leaving the scene from the right side of Wuxian Sect before the decisive battle could prevent the next stage of the plot from triggering.
Optimize the steps for consuming props. When the number of props is 1, the quantity query will no longer pop up.
Reduced AI's intention to release the Whale Breath Technique.
Corrected the description of meridian points gained per level for internal skills such as "Five Immortals' Sorcery" and "Heavenly Silkworm Method"
Changed "she" to "they" in some Southern Frontier quests, and corrected typos.
Fixed a bug where AI would get stuck in corners and could only meditate in simple and normal difficulty modes.
Fixed an issue where the final battle with Bai Weiyi in normal mode did not end after 24 rounds.
Added the collection location "Petalsfall Forest" to the text description of the [SIDE QUEST] Collecting Herbs

We hope your journey along the Southern Borders has been great thus far. In this update, we've addressed several known bugs that were reported to us! We’d like to thank you once again for providing us with feedback and suggestions for this update, you guys have been amazing!

Here are the details of this update:
[h2]New Additions[/h2]

• Added the function to convert Martial Points into Martial Arts Thoughts.
  

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]

• Adjusted the position of the chest on the left side of Monkey Forest to prevent getting stuck and unable to proceed in the game.
  
• Fixed the issue where players couldn't spar in the cave of Shiwan Dashan.
  
• Corrected the description of the Yellow Dragon Saberplay Technique to reflect that it consists of three forms, not two.
  
• Fixed a bug related to the return of exclusive equipment. If exclusive equipment was replaced prematurely, the equipment in the backpack would be deleted.
  
• Modified Mo Wen's Dustless Swordplay and Jiang Yinfeng's Longyuan Sword to be removable.
  
• Instant mode reduced the AI's intention to circle around opponents in real time mode.
  
• Fixed an issue in the Pili School battlefield that could cause players to get stuck while moving.
  
• Corrected the default equipment error for Bai Weiyi.
  
• Fixed an issue with the attributes of Cao Yutian being abnormal in the "Extreme Difficulty" mode.
  
• Added the internal skill "Five Spirits Heart Sutra" to the Miaojiang clothing for Jiang Xiaotong.
  
• Fixed a bug with the weapon of Jiang Xiaotong in the Assembly of Heros.
  
• Fixed a bug with the weapon of Zhang Pofan.
  
• Fixed an occasional bug where the Cloud Tai Chi would retain at least one layer of Tai Chi.
  
• Fixed an issue where if Wind and Cloud Method wasn't equipped but completed in the plot, the character's attributes would be incorrectly deducted.
  
• Fixed a bug where being hit by the Wintry Blow would apply Frost for one less turn to the enemy.
  
• Fixed a bug where the Passive of Winter’s Chill wasn't functioning.
  
• Fixed a bug where the Passive of Blue Water Swordplay at level 5 wasn't functioning.
  
• Optimized the combat experience of the Dragon Python. The Dragon Python will not affected by forced displacement effects (Dragon Claws, Great Vajrapani Fist, Star Absorption Force).

• Fixed the issue in Hard mode where martial arts and hidden weapons couldn't execute flank or rear attacks.
  
• Fixed the problem where you could still receive the quest to recruit the Duan siblings after Bai Wei Yi's death .
  
• Corrected the issue with supreme forged equipment having incorrect attribute values.
  
• Fixed the problem where you could still hand over the Myriad Shots quest to Tang Tong after returning to the Pili School.
  
• Locked skills that cannot be unlocked in the heritage library: Unbounded Golden Wheel, Baidi Sword Spirit, Hellish Spearplay, Bone-Breaking Spear.
  
• Added victory drops to the Battle with the Beggars' Sect: Dragonish Palm Strike, Wuluo Smoke.
  
• Locked manuals that cannot be unlocked in the heritage library: Qingmu Dance, Airsplitting Palm, Iron Palm Strike, Beggars' Cultivation Method, Wudang Cultivation Method, Guiyuan Cultivation Method, Sky Feather Steps, Condor Leap, Herbal Saint's Compendium.
  
• Fixed the character ID error in the dialogue for the [SIDE QUEST] Revisit Pili School.
  
• Completed the unlockable skills in the heritage library: Star Absorption Force, Herbal Saint's Compendium, Demon Cultivation Method, Great Mountain Cultivation Method, Five Immortals' Swordplay, Vibrant Cloud Swordplay, Poison Dragon Sword, Coral Snake Sword, Qi Dissipation Technique, Snakeform Swordplay, Whispering Viper, Thirteen Spectral Swordplay, Nine Manifestations, Elusive Aura.
  
• Completed the unlockable manuals in the heritage library: Poison Dragon Sword, Invigorating Swordplay, Whirlwind Swordplay, Lotus Palm, Necrotoxin, Timberfall Saberplay, Minor Quintfade Saberplay, Birthless Pinnacle, Grand Quintfade Saberplay, Hoarfrost Saberplay, Plague Blister Strike, Tri-Form Meridian Block, Thunderwake Finger Strike, Birthless Severance, Foxform Steps, Chenghuang Windrider.
  
• Fixed the duplicate reward issue with the [SIDE QUEST] Revisit Pili School and Tong An.
  
• Added prerequisites for quests: "Soulwrecking Song - Overture", "Troupe History", "Truth Revealed", "Battle with the Beggars' Sect", "Bird out of the Cage", "Soulwrecking Bird's Decision", "Traveling in Western Liang", "The Misty Sword" - must enter the main storyline in New South Border and reach Jinglong before they can be accepted.
  
• Fixed the bug where the levels of Yan Wei Huan's Heart Method, Herbal Saint's Compendium, and the Four Gates and Twelve Origins would reset after completing the quest.
  
• Corrected the description error for Thirteen Spectral Swordplay and Nine Manifestations, indicating Sword Mastery where it was incorrect.
  
• Fixed the issue where you could still talk to Shang Ting Nuo about three questions after the meeting in Jinglong had ended.
  
• Fixed the problem where obtaining the Golden Snake Sword still wouldn't kill Long Sangjie.
  
• Fixed the issue where favor wasn't correctly added during the [MAIN STORY] Battle in Five Days dialogue with Nao Wu.
  
• Fixed the bug in the [SIDE QUEST] Mowen's Preference where giving the Tea Bag deducted the White Light Sword.
  
• Addressed the issue of unique equipment remaining when team members leave.
  
• Corrected Duan Zhaochen's initial weapon bug.
  
• Fixed the dialogue NPC error after giving gifts in the [SIDE QUEST] Confronting Bureau Guards.
  
• Fixed the bug where completing the [SIDE QUEST] Sweet and Bitter Springs would prevent accepting the Exotic Golden Scorpion and Venom Vendor quests.
  
• Corrected the erroneous appearance of Qing Xu after completing the Wudang Forbidden Area and advancing to become the Zhenwu Hall Chief Disciple.
  
• Fixed the battlefield error in the [SIDE QUEST] Battle with the Beggars' Sect.
  
• Addressed the bug requiring martial arts points to reset meridians in Easy and Normal modes.
  
• Added usage restrictions to Mowen's Dustless Sword and Jiang Yin Feng's Longyuan Sword to prevent issues where players couldn't unequip them due to plot departures.
  

[h2]Optimizations[/h2]

• Optimized the CG for Shang Ting Nuo treating Leng Wuqing in the Bamboo Sea cottage.
  
• Improved Shang Ting Nuo's alchemy and herb gathering levels.
  
• After Lv Xian'er's [SIDE QUEST] Husband Material starts, add a new prompt when entering Gusu.
  
• [SIDE QUEST] The Past is the Past: Adds an auto-save after triggering dialogue upon entering Shaolin.
  
• Increased the internal skill of the nameless character in Extremely Hard difficulty within Villain Valley.
  
• Upon first encountering Jue Wuxin in Pingkang City, added a drop for Master's Notes and a Three-Time Refined Breath Pill.
  
• Added a chest in the Cave of Tribulations containing 1 Lamprey.
  
• Added an auto-save before choosing how many people will go to battle in the big fight with Bai Wei Yi in New South Border.
  
• Added Grandmaster's Holograph, Emerald, and Amethyst drops for winning the second battle where Yan Weihuan covers the retreat.
  
• During the valley chase after Bai Wei Yi, plot forces teammates Ye Fei, Yan Weihuan, and Dishui Monk to join with full health status.
  
• Optimized rewards for player victory in fail-able battles in the New South Border storyline.
  
• Cancelled the initial meridian distribution for Mowen, Ouyang Xue, Yao Ji, and Jiang Xiaotong, allowing players to decide on meridian points allocation themselves.
  

[h2]Game Balancing Changes[/h2]

• Weakened the combat attributes of Lian Xin and Duan Lu Shuang during the Pili School side quest period, Duan Lu Shuang's internal power of Spring Age Endless Mystery was removed
  
• Added martial arts points for mid to late game party members: Ye Fei, Li Yuanxing, Yan Wei, Frosty Condor, Di Zui, Leng Wuqing, Jiang Xiaotong, Yao Ji, Ouyang Xue, Mowen
  
• The Cloud-Patterned Tai Chi Diagram has removed the effect of gaining one layer of Tai Chi and reducing damage by 10% each round. It has been modified to increase defense upon being hit and regenerate health every round.
  
• Deleted the effect of adding one layer of Tai Chi upon entering the battlefield from the Cloud Tai Chi Internal Method.
  
• Removed the effect from the Tai Chi BUFF where each layer reduces concentration by 3%.

You will find yourself plunged into a crisis involving the various Nanjiang tribes, Pili School, and even the Imperial Court. Venture deep into the mysterious Nanjiang, exploring new areas fraught with dangers and unprecedented monsters. Here, every step is a challenge, and every challenge is an opportunity to prove your mettle.

Prepare to encounter new characters and recruit martial artists who will either stand by your side as your most trusted allies or block your path as daunting adversaries. This journey is more than a test of strength—it's a quest to discover the true essence of heroism. How will your decisions shape the world around you?

[h2]Embarking On This New Adventure[/h2]

There are 3 different methods to trigger the Southern Chronicles side storyline, all of which are detailed here in our Steam Guide. You can continue your adventure from an existing save, but we recommend using a save before the quest "[MAIN STORY] Become Martial Disciple."

For those of you who do not have a suitable save file, fret not! We've prepared a special save file with instructions just for you here, ensuring that everyone can immediately jump into this exciting new side storyline.

Together with this new side storyline, here are some new features you can look forward to as well!

[h2]New Difficulty Modes[/h2]

Prepare to tailor your martial arts journey to your liking with the difficulty selection feature! We’ve included multiple difficulty levels for you to select from, ranging from Easy, Normal (default), Hard, and Extreme. In higher difficulty modes, not only are the enemies’ stats adjusted, but they have enhanced senses to detect you when you are near them. However, your resilience will be rewarded with boosted Inheritance Points and rewards. This feature empowers you to shape your own legendary path in Wandering Sword, ensuring every journey is as relaxing or as adrenaline-fueled as you desire.

[h2]New Game +[/h2]

For the veterans out there, every adventure heralds a new beginning! After completing the game, you will earn Inheritance Points. When starting a New Game after completing a full playthrough, you will begin your journey from the all new Inheritance Library, where you can then use your Inheritance points to exchange them for coins, meridian points, martial points, initial equipment, etc. Now, you’ll be ever-ready for your next playthrough!
