Prince of Suburbia - Part 1 News

It's been a hot minute since we talked about our future plans for Prince of Suburbia with all of you, hasn't it? We appreciate your patience in waiting to hear about what's next.

Let's start off with the unfortunate news first. For those that don't already know, we parted ways with auxiliaryout (the most recent artist and animator for Prince of Suburbia) a few months after the release of V1.0 (the end of the main story). He is a talented artist and animator and we wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors!

So, that brings us to the next order of business. We are looking for a new illustrator and animator to help us continue the Prince of Suburbia story with a Pregnancy DLC!

We've spent a lot of time reflecting in the past year about what players want and expect when they play Prince of Suburbia, and how to deliver the best experience possible. With that in mind, our two priorities when it comes to the future art for Prince of Suburbia are:

• An illustrator who specializes in MILFy type characters (aka BIG BOOBAS), big belly pregnancy, and adult breastfeeding/milky breasts content.
  
• An animator who specializes in Spine. The main game was animated using Live2D, and we feel like we pushed it to its absolute limits in terms of quality. Our understanding is that Spine has a higher ceiling in terms of quality and we want to explore that potential.

We have also obviously been compiling our own list of artists we want to approach. Once we have a shortlist of artists we want to audition, we'll commission a few illustrations/animations from them and seek input from our community before moving forward.

Last year we commissioned artwork for Steam community items (badges, etc) for Prince of Suburbia only to learn that Steam does not approve community items for Free-to-Play games without in-game purchases!

[h2]Translations coming soon[/h2]
Currently only the English version of the game is available for purchase. Translations to the following languages are in progress: Chinese (Simplified), French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. We plan to release the translated version to Steam as soon as we feel they are ready.

You can find more information in this post. Volunteers who help translate the game can request a Steam key. We have additional incentives for volunteers who make significant contributions to the translations.

The update has been made to both Part 1 and Part 2 of Prince of Suburbia. Thank you to all of you that entered our Global Steam Key Giveaway! Winners will be contacted by DM on Steam today.

V1.0 is a game-breaking update. We made major changes to the code with this update, including brand new GUI and upgrading to Ren'Py 8+. If your saves are broken, clicking Start in the main menu will give you a few options for different jump in points so you don't have to start from the beginning.

Using old saves, even if they open without error, may cause errors later on. Please consider starting a new game or use one of the jump in points in the title menu rather than opening old saves.

If you have any other trouble accessing the game or encounter any bugs or issues, please let us know!

V1.0 completes Part 2 and the main story of Prince of Suburbia. We want to make sure there are no major bugs or issues in the game (especially in the translated/localized versions) before we leave Early Access on Steam, but that is our next goal. The plan is to work on that in early 2024.

After Prince of Suburbia has left Early Access on Steam in early 2024, we will begin development on the additional Pregnancy DLC content. Stay tuned for more on that next year!
