Clair Obscur Expedition 33 star feels like a "total fraud" after working on it

Clair Obscur Expedition 33's Gustave voice actor says he feels like a "total fraud" for being looped in with the RPG's colossal success, because of how little he actually worked on the game. Charlie Cox, who plays Gustave in E33, recently spoke about the game at Washington State Summer Con 2025, where he heaped praise on developer Sandfall Interactive for how well it's been received.

Sandfall Interactive says it's currently exploring the possibility of adding "new content" to Clair Obscur Expedition 33, alongside improvements like accessibility features. After the immense critical and commercial success of the turn-based RPG, it makes perfect sense that Sandfall is looking at new avenues for the game - and potentially the franchise as a whole. Whether it's with more story, extra difficulty modes, or potentially even DLC, you can count me in.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now MetaCritic’s #1 game in 2025, and that just feels weird

The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 has caused a bit of a disturbance in the rankings of games released this year, as far as the overall critical score is concerned. The reason is fairly standard, and it has to do with older games being re-released for the new console.

33 Extra Big Eclairs aka Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 aka still my game of the year so far got patched last week, the headline items being a generous increase to parry timing windows and big damage reductions on its easiest difficulty. Frankly, this rules and I'm surprised it took so long. I enjoyed how tense these RPG battles can get, but I got the sense a fair few people didn't fancy nailing reaction timing and just wanted to enjoy the story. My ideal solution would be more freeform customisation, because I reckon the game does some really clever and compelling stuff with buildcraft that got overshadowed by the Sekiro comparisons, but this is still a great fix.
