Free Ride mode coming to Mafia: The Old Country as a free update

[p]As our first order of business, we'd like to thank you, our passionate and fiercely loyal community, for making the launch of Mafia: The Old Country a success. We're truly humbled by all the support and dedication that defines the Mafia fandom; you are the reason we get to craft these gritty crime dramas, and we're eternally grateful.[/p][p][/p][p]Now that the game is finally in your hands, we're excited to confirm that Free Ride mode will be coming to Mafia: The Old Country via a free update for all players in the coming months, which will add new activities and gameplay content. We'll have more details to share at a later date.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]In the meantime, even after you've experienced Enzo's descent into the criminal underworld of 1900s Sicily, there's already plenty of reason to revisit the the Valle Dorata, whether it's to hunt down hidden collectibles in Explore mode or replay the story with the full Sicilian voiceover. Whichever you do, you'll still have every outfit, collectible, car, Charm, and other unlock earned during your first playthrough.[/p][p]

Mafia: The Old Country (PC) Review


I was genuinely happy to see Mafia: The Old Country when it was announced during the 2024 Game Awards, both because the series has been pretty consistent in terms of quality and because it was a genuine surprise to see another entry. For a series that has never really been trying to compete with other sandbox crime simulators, its staying power has been pretty amazing.





Much like with The Godfather II, it seems easy to assume that taking Mafia: The Old Country back to the past would be a recipe for instant success. However, returning to its roots has resulted in Mafia playing out more like The Godfather III—small moments of brilliance overshadowed by a genuinely mediocre experience.
