We’re thrilled to announce that after months of hard work,
Major Update 2: Overlord is Now Live! 🌟 This update introduces the
game’s first boss monster, a
new area, and a
special reward for champions of the Jungle. 🦧 We’ve also added a
variety of quality-of-life upgrades,
bug fixes, and a
new spoilage system for raw items left to the elements. We’re eagerly awaiting your feedback! 🌴

Please note: when entering the new area with an existing save, some objects may not spawn there, as they weren’t part of the original seed when your game was generated. Otherwise, meeting the boss with an existing save should work as usual.

Major Update 2: Patch Notes! SPOILER ALERT!🚨[/h2]
[h3]New features in the game:[/h3]
• New enemy - Boss Ape! Jungle Overlord!
• New area - Dark Jungle! Dark Lair!
• New unlockable - Boots! A permanent upgrade to player speed.
• New feature - Spoiling! Killed animals, picked fruit and other tampered organics now rot if not properly cooked. You are very welcome!
[h3]New features for improved usability:[/h3]
• New feature - Camera shake! Can be turned off in the menu.
• New feature - Left handed support! You can switch sticks, buttons or both between your left and right controller.
• Day Counter - Every morning a Day Counter appears on top of the volcano. This can be turned off in settings.
• User Interface appear every morning to indicate that the game has saved. This can be switched off by turning off the HUD.
• Improved structure and visuals of the Main Menu.
• Gunpowder flask placement improvements and reduced collider, now less likely to grab the flask by accident.
• Bulletbox placement is now more convenient.
• Satchel can’t be retrieved from shoulder while holding on to rope/liana to avoid accidental grabbing.
• Fixed flask getting stuck on player when trying to place on bandolier while running around.
• Valve Index controllers improvement - decreased sensitivity for grabbing to avoid accidental grabbing, you can customize this further in Steam settings.
• Vive Wands controller support improvements.
[h3]Improvements to the sound and audio:[/h3]
• Improved music playback system for smoother music switching.
• New music tracks - first original music in the game!
• Dozens of new Voiceover lines implemented.
• Voiceover system improvements.
• Improved fire sound effects when running around.
[h3]Improvements related to animals:[/h3]
• Bat pathfinding improvements.
• Improved lizard colliders.
• Fixed bats not attacking crouched player.
• Improved night monsters spawning in tight situations.
• Fixed domingo eyes staying open after death.
• Improved eyes for several animals.
[h3]Improvements related to the environments and visuals: [/h3]
• Improved foliage in jungle and other areas - it now looks more consistent.
• Improved lighting on foliage and other items.
• Fixed various errors in plant textures and billboards.
• Game now supports water bodies on different height levels. That was hard.
• Adjusted sparks VFX.
[h3]Improvements related to different interactions: [/h3]
• Bottle functionality improvements.
• Various building bugfixes.
• Exceeding building limit deletes first placed outline.
• Fixed torch igniting from the handle.
• Torch less likely to get lit in closed chest.
• Overcharged pistol flight distance reduced.
• Fixed various stabbing issues with knife.
• Fixed a bug which prevented the knife heating up in fire.
