Hello, adventurers! We've just pushed a new update, and as promised last week, the free expansion Calamity in Penglai is now live! You can experience it in-game by updating your base game. Alongside this expansion, we’ve also made various optimizations and fixes to improve gameplay. A detailed patch note is included at the end of this post for your reference.

Additionally, Hero’s Adventure will be on sale for 40% off starting January 22 and running for two weeks until February 5, just in time for the Lunar New Year holiday!

[New DLC: “Calamity in Penglai”]

1. Added a new storyline leading to An Exclusive True Ending.
2. Trigger condition: After defeating the Nine Factions Sect, wait for 1 in-game day to receive a pigeon message (requires no prior affiliation with the Nine Factions Sec).
   
3. Added new area “Penglai Island” and related content, including 120+ new events.
   
4. Added new martial arts and items:
   
   • Roar of the Dragon (Legendary Sword)
     
   • Heirloom Coin (Epic Accessory)
     
   • Xuan-Yuan Treasure Codex (Supreme-grade Internal Skill)
     
5. Added related achievements, as well as corresponding items, areas, and ending entries in the collectible log.
   

[Adjustments to Existing DLCs]

1. For “The Great Conquest”, added a confirmation prompt when clicking the “Execute” button (toggleable in game settings).
   
2. For “Canvas of Heroes”, added character portraits for certain events.
   

[Base Game Updates]

1. Added Story Log: Access the log interface in the bottom left corner of the game to view recent story dialogue records.
   
2. Added Teammate Auto-Battle: When enabled, teammates will fight automatically, while the protagonist remains under manual control.
   
3. Added New languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai.
   

[Base Game Adjustments]

1. Points for talent and stats earned by teammates while stationed at the home base will no longer be auto-allocated upon their return to the team.
   
2. Optimized the event for collecting wolf skin with Ye Family: unlocking the Wild Wolf Valley scene upon event acceptance.
   
3. Adjusted display interfaces for bounties and auctions.
   
4. Adjusted display interfaces for in-game tutorials and guides.
   
5. Updated displays for bonded teammates in the character info and home tips interface to show a bonded label.
   
6. Adjusted resource output for character development books from certain NPCs in Chuxiang Library and Daliang Library.
   
7. Adjusted the drop rates for normal accessories at accessory shops in Lin’an and Daliang’s main cities.
   
8. Adjusted the drop rates for normal, rare, epic medicines in clinics across Lin’an, Chuxiang, Daliang, and Huangmu Port.
   

[Bug Fixes]

1. Fixed an error with the damage cap of the Combat skills.
   
2. Fixed an issue where the second effect of the weapon “Lingering” (Focus Meter Boost) was not applied.
   
3. Fixed an incorrect description for the “Upstream walk” effect obtained in-game.
   
4. Fixed an issue where clicking certain areas of the pet naming interface did not bring up the input box.
   
5. Fixed a bug causing repetitive storyline triggers when Melody House was closed to visitors under certain conditions.

Over the past year, Hero’s Adventure has maintained an update frequency of every 1-2 months, including the addition of Yan Yun, the Western Regions, and the Southeast to the map, as well as the introduction of new characters and their unique stories. We’ve also expanded gameplay features, enhanced visual designs, and added more female character stories. The release of the mobile version was another major milestone, bringing us to over one million copies sold.

We never set out to achieve grand milestones but simply focused on the work at hand. Looking back, we realize just how many steps we've taken, and it's all thanks to you, our players, for your unwavering support throughout the year. Delivering new content around the Lunar New Year has become our tradition, and as previously teased, we’re thrilled to announce that our free expansion, "Calamity in Penglai", will launch in mid-January! Here’s an exclusive sneak peek at what’s to come.

[h3]New Jianghu Events & Storyline[/h3]
"After the fall of the Nine Factions Sect, the Jianghu world finally finds peace. Just as the triennial Sword Conference approaches, you—a rising martial arts prodigy—receive an invitation to participate. However, no one could have predicted that the conference would unearth old grudges from decades past, all tied to the enigmatic Penglai Sect..."


This expansion introduces a new story arc with a true ending, featuring over 100 game events and a web of intrigue involving more than 30 characters. Players can also look forward to new achievements, martial arts techniques, and items.

[h3]New Language Support & Overseas Mobile Launch[/h3]
To bring Hero’s Adventure to even more players worldwide, we’re adding language support for Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, and Vietnamese in the upcoming update. We will also update some of the English localization proofreading content, including the early story (Nameless village) of the game. We will continue to work on the proofreading process.

Martial arts culture is rich in historical background, traditional terminology, and unique expressions, making localization a challenging task. Not only do we need to ensure accuracy, but we also aim to preserve its original expression as much as possible. However, due to differences in language structure, it is difficult to fully satisfy the expectations of every player.

We understand that this is a long-term and continuously evolving process, so we welcome any valuable feedback. If you encounter any translation issues or have suggestions for improvement, please feel free to contact us via Discord. We will regularly review and adjust the translation to ensure that everyone enjoys a better localization experience.

Additionally, the overseas mobile version will soon be available. The mobile version is a complete port of the PC version. The free expansion will also be updated on mobile version, allowing everyone to start Jianghu adventure anywhere anytime. The pre-registration for Google Play and iOS is now live. Aside from our usual updates, we've been pouring most of our efforts into enhancing the base game. We usually release a preview when the version is relatively well prepared. We will try our best to update the game soon after releasing preview information.
We've seen your conversations and want to reassure you that the concerns you've raised won't materialize—the adventure is far from over. We're also aware that our growing international player base has been vocal about improving our English localization. While the current version has been around for a while and may feel familiar, we know it's not perfect. We're careful about making changes that might disrupt the game for our longtime players, especially given the challenge of finding translators experienced in both Wuxia culture and Hero’s Adventure.
We have started a new round of localization efforts. Considering the game's vast text—over 1.9 million Chinese characters—this isn't a quick fix but a long-term commitment to enhancing your experience.
