⭐ UPDATE v.1.0.18 | Quality of Life Improvements & New Contents! 🎉

Dear Pixelians! 👋

This patch brings a fresh wave of quality-of-life improvements, new content, and community-requested features to make your experience smoother, more fun, and even more immersive.

Let’s dive into what’s new! 🚀

Highlights of Update [v1.0.18]
Storage Inventory
This update introduces a brand-new feature: Storage Inventory 📦

You’ll be able to access it straight from the Furnishing Window while at home, and it’s shared between all of your properties. If you miss your rent and get evicted, or decide to sell your property without including furniture, all your items will be safely transferred to your Storage Inventory.

I’ve also added a new option that lets you manually send any of your furniture to your Storage Inventory whenever you’d like.

Say goodbye to losing your hard-earned furniture during tough times in Pixelia! 🏡
🎯 Pin the Pixelian! – NPC Waypointing Arrives!
Ever found yourself circling Pixelia over and over, just trying to track down that one elusive Pixelian for a quest? Or maybe you've resorted to waiting outside their home like a detective on a stakeout? Finding the right person at the right time hasn’t always been easy in earlier versions.

With our new NPC Waypoint System, that hassle is finally a thing of the past! 🗺️

You can now place a waypoint on any NPC, allowing you to instantly locate them on the map and track them in real-time. Whether you're on a mission, handing in a task, or just looking to say hi, finding the right Pixelian is now as easy as pie.

No more hide-and-seek! ✨
Purchasing Rented Properties Made Easier!
Previously, you had to wait until your rental period expired, and often faced eviction, before you could buy a rented home. And even worse, when you got evicted, your ruthless landlord would sell off your furniture to cover costs. This meant that buying your rented home involved a lot of hassle and difficulties.

Now, with this new feature, you can purchase your rented property at any time, without waiting for the lease to end or dealing with eviction hassles!

You can purchase your rented property through the Housing menu or by visiting the Real Estate Office.
Ghoulies Safecracking Quest
This quest now features a handy option to highlight the specific home you need to lockpick and break into to access the safe, making your mission clearer and easier to complete.
💬 Skipping Dialogues
This isn’t a new feature, but we didn’t communicate it clearly before, which was our oversight. You’ve always been able to skip dialogue, but since we didn’t mention it, many in our community were unaware.

To fix this, we’ve now added a visual hint to let you know you can skip and don’t have to wait for any Pixelian during conversations.
💾 More Reliable Save System!
We understand how frustrating it can be to lose your progress due to corrupted save files when a crash occurs during manual or auto-saving. Previously, interruptions during the save process could damage your save data, causing you to lose your game progress.

To prevent this, we’ve implemented an additional safety measure.

Now, when you save your game, the original save file remains untouched. The game first creates a temporary copy of your save file, writes the new data onto that copy, and only replaces the original file once the process completes successfully. This way, if a crash or interruption happens during saving, your original save will stay intact, protected and untouched.
Other Minor Tweaks
• Hacking Bank Accounts and Stealing Data on computers now takes much less time.

 • If your hacking attempt fails, the Crime UI will appear to display the amount of Crime Points you've gained.

 • Controller support has been added for the Butcher Job.

✅ Bug Fixes

 • To view concert offers from your Music Band manager, you needed 5 Composed Music. However, if you had a Music Album containing 10 Composed Music, the game didn’t correctly recognize that this requirement was met. This issue is fixed now.

 • Successful government hacking actions on the computer now count correctly toward the "Mastermind Criminal" dream goal.

 • Resolved a bug where the "Write Book" mini-game window remained open if your character experienced a bladder accident during the book writing process.

 • Fixed the Trait Task "Eat 3 Seafood" so that eating Cooked Salmon now counts properly.

 • Relationship values will no longer drop below -100 when attacking someone.

 • Corrected the price range for the product "Solar Bloom" in the Cosmetics Store.

 • Corrected the incorrect furniture category title for beds in the Furnishing Menu.

And there’s more news! If everything goes smoothly, the upcoming update will wrap up the long-awaited revamp of the notorious Guitar Minigame. Following that, we’ll start rolling out options to turn mini-games on or off.

⭐ UPDATE v.1.0.17 | 🎮 Deck Mode: Activated! (And More Bug Fixes) 🐞

Hello, dear Pixelians! 🙌

We're back with another round of important bug fixes to keep your gameplay experience smooth and enjoyable.

Alongside these improvements, we also wanted to share a bit of insight into what's coming next, including a sneak peek at the features and updates we’re planning for future versions. 🔭

Before we jump into the latest bug fixes, let’s take a moment to explore what you can expect in our upcoming updates.

🎮 Steam Deck & Controller Improvements!

While we continue addressing all reported bugs, we’ve also begun improving various parts of the game to enhance your overall experience.

With this new update, Steam Deck controller support should now feel more optimized right out of the box.

We’ve also kicked off the process of getting fully verified for Steam Deck, so we will be working on all the required conditions to make your experience better on the Deck! ✅

We’re currently working on native resolution support for Steam Deck (1280x800), and a large portion of the UI will soon be fully navigable via gamepad. Smoother gameplay is on the way for Steam Deck users or anyone that enjoys playing the game with controllers. 🎮

✅ Fixed Bugs

Here is what we’ve improved in this new version.

 • TVs and some minor furnitures no longer disappear from NPC homes when you visit there for the second time.

 • Phone calls no longer trigger during scene transitions, preventing bugs during bus travel.

 • The game no longer autosaves when changing scenes.

 • Fixed an issue where businesses couldn’t be opened due to insufficient product stock, even when you had sufficient amount of products (25).

 • Transferring items from your Inventory to your Business Materials Inventory now registers correctly, so you won’t lose transferred items.

 • Programming job bug fixed: Dividing any number by [0000] no longer causes crashes or bugs.

 • The bike color change issue at the Mechanics shop has been resolved.

 • Successfully picking locks now properly increases your Lockpicking skill.

 • Mastermind Criminal Dream: Hacking 20 bank accounts now rewards the correct amount of Prestige instead of 0.

 • Your name now displays correctly in the pre-game roster when entering a Basketball match.

 • Fixed a bug preventing travel to Pixenville even after reaching Pixelian level 10.
🚨 A Little Note for Assistance
Dear Pixelians! There’s this sneaky bug roaming around that I just can’t seem to catch. 🐛

I’m aware of this well-known bug that some of you have been experiencing, but I was unable to reproduce this bug on my end, like being teleported to the wrong job locations for side jobs accepted through your phone. For example, if you have the Janitor job, you might end up teleported to the Musician job location instead.

If you’re experiencing some bug like this, I would really appreciate it so much if you could share your save file with me on Discord. This will help me check and identify the root cause of the problem more effectively. Let’s crush this nasty bug once and for all!🙂

🚧 Ongoing Developments

These features and improvements below are currently in development for our next update and are still a work in progress. While these improvements take longer to implement than bug fixes, they’re actively being worked on.

To keep things transparent about what’s happening behind the scenes beyond the bug fixes, I’ll be including this kind of list in update logs. 📝

 • Creating backup copies of your save game files during both auto-save and manual save to prevent file corruption if the game crashes during saving.

 • Cloud saving support, allowing your save game to be accessed and synced across multiple devices.

 • A waypoint marker will be added to help you locate quest-related characters more easily.

 • Improved controller navigation for menu interfaces.

 • Better text sizes for handheld consoles.

 • Expanded key rebinding options to give you more control.

 • A custom in-game keyboard interface designed for Steam Deck or other handheld console users.

 • The ability to toggle mini-games on or off

 • A complete overhaul of several mini-games for a better experience.

 • More optimization to improve the performance and reduce the memory usage.

We’ll soon be diving into the Kickstarter stretch goals we committed to, all with the goal of expanding and deepening the Pixelian universe. 🌍

Dear, Pixelians! 👋

We’re here with our routine essential bug fixes and tweaks based on your feedback. 🧰

When we first launched, there was a lengthy list of bugs to address, but we’re making steady progress, and the occurrence of new bugs is dropping considerably.

This means we’ll soon be able to concentrate more on expanding content, introducing new features, and enhancing the mini-games and bringing more quality of life updates.

We appreciate all the feedback you share with us and take it seriously. 💖

⭐Update v1.0.15 | Optimization for Crashes and Bug Fixes! 🧰

Dear Pixelians! 👋

Since our release day, we've been consistently working on improving the game's stability by fixing the bugs you've reported, which has been our top priority for a while now.

We're hopeful that this phase will be completed very soon and after that, we’ll shift our focus to redesigning key features and bringing in fresh content, new storylines, and exciting updates.

Before diving into the bug fixes, I want to begin with an important update, especially for those who’ve been dealing with crashes.
📢 News For Anyone That Experiences Crashes
We’ve managed to reduce the game’s memory usage by about 10%, which may noticeably improve stability on some devices and help reduce the likelihood of crashes. While there’s still plenty of room for optimization, I’d love to hear whether this change brings improvements for any of you in this version [v1.0.15]

In the long term, I believe we can reduce memory usage by up to 40% and optimizations for the different parts of the game will continue to make sure everything runs more smoothly.

We’re working toward a completely crash-free experience, and while this is just the beginning, and this is an early but important step.

Note: Some devices still encounter occasional crashes, but based on the feedback we've received, there's already been noticeable improvement, some players who previously couldn’t play for more than 4–5 minutes are now enjoying hours of crash-free gameplay. And this progress came from just a 10% optimization! We will continue to optimize to the point where crashes will completely stop. 🙌

If you experience crashes, please report it here:

 • The “Join Basketball Team” dream should now progress as intended.

We’re carefully taking notes of every bug report and suggestion you send us, ensuring they will eventually be addressed and included in the game.

In addition, we’re working on redesigning the mini-games, balancing their difficulty, and adding quality-of-life enhancements to make things more enjoyable for you.

Update v1.0.14 – More Bug Fixes & Improvements and Future Plans!✨

Hello dear Pixelians! 🙌

Thanks to your valuable feedback, we’ve been addressing issues consistently and making steady progress. Many significant bugs have already been resolved, and we’re well on our way to delivering a smoother and more stable experience. 😊

We truly appreciate your patience and continued support as we fine-tune the game. Your detailed reports and suggestions have been instrumental in helping us identify edge cases and unexpected behaviors. Every message, screenshot, and shared insight is helping us build a better game together. 🙏
Important Note About Crashes:
I am aware of the crashes some of you have been encountering, and I’ve already begun investigating the issue.

According to the crash logs we've received so far, the problem appears to be specific to devices using Intel hardware.

I'm actively working on identifying the root cause and will aim to implement a fix as soon as possible. I've created a specific crash testing build in Steam where we will start doing frequent testings soon for users that experience crashes. You can see this build when you right click To Pixelia in your Steam Library and Properties > Betas. (You don't need to download it now as we haven't started this process yet).

Your patience means a lot during this time and I appreciate it so much! 💖

🐞BUG FIXES

 1. Pressing certain keys while naming a book or song will now not open the UI.

 2. Fixed a bug that caused the player to remain stuck in a knocked-down pose after receiving treatment at the hospital.

 3. Fixed disappearing trees, stones, and other objects in the Pixenville farming scene.

 4. You can now interact properly with Joseph (NPC at Bottomtown Fight Club) to initiate fights.

 5. Election polls and vote predictions from assistants are now accurate and properly influence the election outcome.

 6. Resolved a bug that prevented opening the Employees Page if you hired multiple employees of the same type.

 7. The "Neighborly Hospitality" quest now correctly registers as completed once the conditions are met.

 8. Weekly expenses for Political Parties are now correctly deducted from the party budget.

 9. Fixed an issue where digits on safes wouldn’t display correctly, making it hard to enter passwords when entering your home.

 15. Corrected the quest name that appeared when visiting Bottomtown.

 16. The Ambitious Trait task related to reaching a certain score in Arcade Game 3 is now completable.

 18. Fixed a bug where opening your store while already inside it allowed you to reopen it from the Phone, which would reset your daily sales.

- We remain committed to resolving every reported issue, and we’ll continue refining the game until it achieves complete stability.

⭐Tweaks

 • Introduced support for a new screen resolution: 3840x2160 (4K).
 • Increased payment rates for Modeling Jobs.
 • Adjusted the Ambitious Trait task: the required score for completing Snake (Game 3) in the Arcade Machine has been reduced from 50 to 25. Additionally, the snake’s speed has been slowed down by 50% for better playability.

🎮 Mini-game Improvements

We also have some good news to share, Pixelians!

Some of our most challenging mini-games are getting an overhaul, with several design elements being simplified to improve the experience.

- The first update is for the Safe Cracking mini-game.

Previously, you had to guess the password blindly, but now, with each attempt, you'll receive feedback indicating whether a number is in the correct position. This change will make it much easier and faster to crack the code!
Plans for Other Mini-games
Based on all the feedback we've gathered, we're also planning a complete redesign of the Guitar mini-game to greatly improve its design and overall experience. Most of our mini-games will receive design upgrades to make them more enjoyable, polished, and fun to play. 🎮

🚀 Future Updates & Vision

Thank you all so much for your continued support!

I know the launch came with its fair share of bugs and crashes, but please rest assured, we're actively fixing them one by one, and your feedback has been incredibly valuable in that process.

Looking ahead, I want to share a bit of the vision we have for the future of the game. We plan to introduce lots of new content; such as new storylines, new characters, new areas, new cosmetics, furnitures and lots of easter-eggs, as well as a range of quality-of-life improvements to improve the overall experience.

Full Key Rebinding support will be implemented after we finish redesigning our new mini-games, as they will introduce different control schemes.

Steam Deck compatibility and full controller support are also on our roadmap.

To Pixelia will keep growing and improving far beyond its current state, After addressing the missing pieces & aspects, our sights are set on a major milestone, adding co-op support.

- If you’ve been enjoying the game so far, leaving a positive review would mean the world to us and help us reach even more players. 💖
And lastly... 👀
