Hello, Campers!🏕️

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re setting up our camp at an exciting new location - Steam Strategy Fest! Starting on August 28th at 7pm CEST and running until September 4th 7pm CEST, we'll be calling on you to help us protect our new camp from the ravenous Greed (they get more ferocious during events according to the legends!).

When we don’t have to protect our camp, we’ll be gathering around the campfire, sharing a few stories, lemonades and pizzas, listening to the atmospheric tunes from the game and enjoying the beauty of the neon lights. Perhaps we’ll even peek into the treasure chest and who knows what we’re going to find there📼

In the middle of our camp we’ll set up a screen where you’ll have a unique chance to see Survival Mixtapes streamed for the first time! Led by the wise master of the Kingdom games, the almighty Experience Producer Angelica Norgren, and a freshly crowned Camper in absolute love and obsession over the 80s, Sr. Community Manager Daria Driver. Whose skill will prove to be the best against unending waves of Greed? Which one will occur to be the successful strategy - experience or daringness? And the main question - who will eventually get the gold crown? Find out for yourself on August 29th at 2pm CEST right on the Kingdom Eighties Steam page🔥

[h3]Bringing the ultimate challenge to Kingdom Eighties[/h3]
Survival Mixtapes is a brand-new Kingdom Eighties game mode that will give a complete overhaul to the way you play the game. Did you love the atmospheric, nostalgic locations from the base game but felt like you had too much time for camp ghost stories instead of fighting off the ravenous Greed, or that there simply wasn’t enough challenge?

We heard you and hand-crafted this experience to let you explore the beautiful retro-neon levels inside-out but also prepare for much more ferocious Greed, gathering around your camp with armies larger than ever before - all to steal your Crown. What will you do to protect your friends, expand your camp, keep the glory of your ancestors - the Crown of Creation - and eventually destroy the Greed?



[h3]Main features[/h3]
🪙 Revisit the four locations from the main campaign – but with a challenging twist:

• Greed threat’s difficulty yet unseen in the world of Eighties.
  

• Get random mounts from other Kingdom Eighties locations.
  

• Unlock statues to boost your troops.
  

🪙 Do you have what it takes to last long enough? See your efforts be rewarded with bronze, silver and golden crowns.



[h3]And how do I get it?[/h3]
Being a cool kid is enough. Alright, maybe you need to do something else too - such as completing the main campaign. You will see a mixtape in the main menu right after you boot up the game - but after clicking it, the mixtape will give you a prompt to complete the main campaign before giving you access to the mode. So, feel free to click the mixtape and see what happens. But remember - we warned you…

Back on track
Alright, Campers! We’ve spent some time gathering around the fire, fine-tuning our bows (and walkmans) and hardening the hammers, catching our breaths and taking advantage of the summer and its vibes of adventure. Now it’s time to leave our cozy camp and start building defenses against the Greed. Though this time in a new way - and we can’t wait to share more about it with you😉

What? Something is cooking?!
Well, our summer holiday was great indeed but now that we’re back we’ve actually been quite hard at work on something very special for Kingdom Eighties.

Drumroll🥁 It’s a new cool game mode!..

Oh wait, look, there is a mixtape here! Looks a bit outdated but still pretty neat. Did you drop it? Or how did it get here?..



Anyway, the new game mode is a thrilling singleplayer experience that will put your Kingdom skills to the test, whether Eighties is your first Kingdom game or if you’re a long-term veteran of the series. This time, the Crown of Creation will lead you to strategize against the strongest of the Greed – making you fine-tune your strategy to the smallest detail to make sure your camp is consistently safe and sound. We’ve been hand-crafting this new experience with a lot of care and passion to make sure your ‘80s are as unforgettable and atmospheric as they have been to us, and that this game mode gives you a chance to approach them differently every time you get to building your camp and preparing the defenses. We’re so excited to share more!

We’re so happy to see so many of you enjoying Kingdom Eighties. In today’s update, we’re bringing you a patch that will eliminate some of the most urgent bugs and issues that you’ve reported to us from your playthroughs.

General fixes

• Your archers will now defend your entire Kingdom if there is a Blood Moon and a Retaliation Wave happening simultaneously, instead of stacking at the Blood Moon side only.
  
• Your archers will no longer sometimes stop attacking while taking part in a Siege assault.
  
• The Champ no longer gets stuck in a running animation when you pay to activate the Siege Dumpster just before exiting a cave.
  
• Fixed an issue that prevented players from picking up their dropped crown after loading a save.
  
• Greed portals should no longer spawn so close to the camp that you are prevented from building your innermost wall. Let us know if the problem persists when you generate a new map!
  

Episode specific fixes

• The Champ’s trophy event in Episode I will now always trigger correctly when paid for.
  
• Exiting the cave in Episode I without your crown will now trigger game loss correctly, instead of causing a freeze.
  
• The Tinkerer can no longer get stuck in a walking animation by the cave in Episode III.
  
• The workers will no longer drop the canoe as soon as the Siege Dumpster is destroyed or abandoned in the cave in Episode I, which would sometimes leave the canoe out of reach.
  
• Fixed an issue that would cause the player to be stuck in the cave after fulfilling the victory conditions in Episode IV.
  
• You can now leave the cave in Episode IV at any time, allowing you to regroup and try again after a failed Siege assault.
  

Achievement fixes

• “County Connection” will now trigger correctly in all episodes.
  
• “Saw Boss” will now trigger correctly in Episode IV.
  
• “Loner” will now trigger correctly in Episode IV.
  
• “George Burnett Had Twins” will now trigger correctly in Episode IV.
