The Season 3 update for Call of Duty Warzone 2 is almost upon us and it's looking like a fantastic - and somewhat important - injection of new content to the battle royale shooter. One thing we're certain a lot of people will be looking forward to, outside of the new operators, is the long-awaited introduction of Warzone Ranked. Yes, that's right; we're finally getting a competitive mode.

Valeria and Alejandro are going to squash their beef and settle their differences once and for all in Warzone 2 Season 3, and you'll be able to do the same while clambering up a brand new rank system when the Warzone 2 Ranked release date rolls around - which just might be the same as the Warzone 2 Season 3 release date.

However, we don't know whether that's the case or not just yet. All we know is that Warzone Ranked is coming in Season 3, as it's one of the new features listed in the recently released Season 3 trailer for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

We've all got a wishlist of characters we'd love to see in Warzone 2. However, since 2019's Call of Duty Modern Warfare rebooted the popular FPS franchise, not every fan favourite can make an appearance on the battlefield. Modern Warfare 2 introduced already iconic characters such as Alejandro Vargas and Valeria Garza and we've been hoping to step into their boots for months. Warzone 2 Season 3 leaks shed light on epic MW2 Soap operator skin

Weapons hot, vaqueros; it looks like the Season 3 update for Call of Duty Warzone 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is going to finally give players the operators they've been asking for. Information on the next season of content coming to the two mainline Call of Duty games is light, but a new teaser from Infinity Ward is hinting at an update focused on the immensely popular Alejandro Vargas and Valeria Garza - two characters who made their series debut in the MW2 campaign.

Now, before we go into it, we just want to say that this is something of a theory - as the content we get in the battle pass and the seasonal update associated with it is usually somewhat relevant to the narrative progression shipped with the update. So, take this with a pinch of salt, but - maybe - start saving your COD points.

Anyway, onto the teaser. It isn't a lot, but Call of Duty has shared a short cinematic trailer that shows Alejandro preparing himself for action with the following voice over:

04/04/2023 The headline and text of this article have been updated to reflect the recent release of new information about Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 and its' content.

We know we've all got our favourites when it comes to weapons in Modern Warfare 2 - and the Call of Duty series as a whole - but we think it's fair to say that the intervention from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2009) is one of the best sniper rifles the franchise has ever seen. So, that's why a recent leak reaffirming that a Modern Warfare 2 Intervention could be coming to the current Call of Duty multiplayer game and Warzone 2 in the future is very exciting. And, now it's been confirmed.

For well over a year now, long before Modern Warfare 2 had even launched, leakers have been claiming that the iconic sniper rifle was going to feature in one way or another. This tweet from Call of Duty leaker 'TheGhostofHope' from April 2022 is just one example of that.

However, that's not all. The Intervention was actually spotted in-game briefly by 'CharlieIntel' in October 2022, showing up as a weapon blueprint in the backpack UI. As you might imagine, calls for this weapon's appearance have been ongoing since then.
