New Warzone 2 map Ashika Island has seven main POIs

After some drip-feeding on social media, the entire new Warzone 2 map has been revealed. Ashika Island is Warzone 2's first small-scale map, which means the fast-paced, fan-favourite Resurgence mode can now return for Call of Duty fans to enjoy. The small Japanese island certainly carries the essence of Rebirth Island from the original Warzone, but instead sees players battle amongst beaches, farms, castles, and underground rivers.

With the Warzone 2 Ashika Island release date coinciding with the launch of the delayed Season 2, fans will finally be able to drop into a small-scale battlefield for the first time since the battle royale launched in November 2022. Those who enjoyed the maps of Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep in the original Warzone, and the modes that came with them, haven't even been able to dip back into them, as both maps were removed from the previous title to leave just the large battlefield of Caldera.

The official top-down view of the map posted on social media shows seven main Ashika Island POIs for players to land at.

Warzone 2 M13B loadout best attachments and class setup

There's plenty of choice when it comes to picking certain guns to use in Al Mazrah, but one you may have been missing out on is the best Warzone 2 M13B loadout. This difficult to unlock assault rifle offers great damage, without having to deal with too much recoil.

Not only would we say that the M13B is one of the best Warzone 2 assault rifles, but we'd go a step further to say it is one of the best Warzone 2 guns right now. We could be seeing it taking over the Warzone 2 meta at some point too. Especially taking this loadout into account.

Warzone 2 needs more rewards "even if it looks stupid", says JGOD

In Warzone 2, when you think about it, the seasonal battle pass really is the only reward system in play - once you've levelled up all the best Warzone 2 guns and finished grinding camo challenges, anyway. With Season 1 pretty-much over and the Warzone 2 Season 2 release date on the horizon, we think it's about time Infinity Ward pulls its' socks up and starts improving the rewards players can earn in-game. Oh, and if you don't trust our judgement, Warzone wizard and Call of Duty content creator 'JGOD' thinks so, too.

Discussing the current state of the Call of Duty battle royale on Hector 'Repullze' Torres' "Pullze Check" podcast on Twitch, JGOD has expressed that Warzone 2 players need more rewards to chase. Not just for wins, though, but for "literally everything in the game... Even if it looks stupid".

Of course, while we would rather any new rewards Infinity Ward does add avoid looking too stupid, but we can't help but echo the sentiment - a sentiment that seems to convey a sense of desperation when it comes to Warzone 2 rewards (and the fact that there aren't any).
