It's 1.0! The main feature of the release update is career mode with it's details, can't wait for you all to try it out.

Besides that there's a big range of general changes:
  • car setups
  • variable tyre life
  • reliability and engine failures
  • knockout qualifying
  • engine modes
  • team radio messages
  • pre-race menu with news
  • event modifiers for teams and drivers
  • AI drivers may block/ram depending on their dirtiness stat and if the player has crashed with them earlier
  • lots of new (moddable) data for drivers and teams
  • new track: Hungary
  • new engine sound
  • several new sound effects
  • new difficulty: Legend
  • new driver positions hud with used tyre compounds
  • penalty for illegal compound strategy
  • hide inactive pit crews to improve performance on low quality setting
  • minor chances to car drive model
  • bug fixes and balance tweaks


Steam Achievements are also added, they are all for career mode.

Release weekend!

Formula TOP release weekend is here! A preview of the new features and the new track is live right now and Career mode is unlocked on Sunday to celebrate the 1.0 launch. A list of all changes will be posted on release day.

Multiplayer races daily on the EU server!

Leaderboards have been reset, Early Access times will be preserved on the Discord server.

New track and progress update

There's a new track: Great Britain! I'm working on the big 1.0 update but it's still some months of work to get everything I want in so I thought I'd share a bit of something in the meanwhile.

Bug fixes for damage setting and qualification auto-continue in championships

New feature: Damage

New update is live, get ready to pay for all those crashes! Retiring from the race is also possible now, whether for your car breaking down or just wanting to join the spectators.

  • Added retiring from the race (on max damage or from the in-game menu, game switches to spectator mode)
  • Improved AI overtaking (faster reactions, uses slip stream more)
  • AI now moves over when being lapped
  • More consistent collision physics
