Working with IndieArk!

Backpack Hero is working with IndieArk!



Thanks to the support of our Kickstarter supporters, we are now working with IndieArk. They will be helping us bring the game to players in China, Japan, Korea, and other countries in the region. They're a great partner and I strongly encourage you to checkout their Steam page!

Run Types Hotfix 2

Changes:
  • Adjusted the scaling of damage on Endless dream


Bug Fixes:
  • Updated the icon for UnityPlayer for Macs
  • Fixed a bug with the Glass Cannon mode
  • Fixed an issue when loading games as Tote and CR-8
  • Fixed an issue with Tote's carvings when you first load
  • Fixed an issue where events could spawn large numbers of random items
  • Fixed a glitch where re-rolling combat rewards could respawn slime swords
  • Fixed issues where on-destroy effects could prevent effects from being triggered
  • Fixed a glitch where items could fail to complete all their actions when disabled
  • Fixed a glitch where you could click on items when the options menu was open
  • Fixed an issue where the overgrown axe would not displayed that it was banished
  • Fixed a glitch where the shopkeeper could keep saying "Drag to me to sell" after taking the tasty fly
  • Fixed an issue where items with similar names could have their effect combined together by mistake

Run Types Hotfix

Changes:
  • Updated translations
  • Increased the max time for each charge
  • Trash Blaster: removed low health, added no relics, added extra items from chests


Bug Fixes:

  • Significant change to the save system. This will make you lose existing saves, but should hopefully be more reliable and end the "loading old games" issue.
  • Removed the Philosopher's Stone from CR-8's item pool
  • Mini-games can no longer spawn invalid items (in Pauper mode for example)
  • Events no longer spawn invalid items (rat trader for example)
  • Fixed a glitch with Purse's tutorial
  • The pickaxe will no longer spawn random items in a Pauper run
  • The resolution will no longer be reset each time the options menu is opened
  • Fixed the cleansing flame modifier description
  • Fixed the placement of enemies that are spawned from random events
  • Fixed the description of Hard Mode - which improperly displayed "Hard Mode 4"
  • Fixed a glitch where the "Run Modifier" could be applied multiple times to an item
  • Fixed a glitch where you could destroy necessary items (like the ballista in Trash Blaster run type) during reorganize events
  • Fixed several game-crashing bugs related to selling in Penny-Pincher stores
  • Fixed an issue where with Hard Mode instantly killing the player

Bug Fixes:
Removed the Steak from CR-8's item pool
Made it so you cannot create disconnected bag spaces
Added additional save protection if you save while energy balls exist
Removed the Crimson energy, the emerald bracelet, and the ethereal wand from CR-8's item pool
Fixed several glitches related to the Auto-Run feature
Made it so Auto-Run is not reset between battles
Fixed the "Die" so it works with the componenet chest
