  1. You can clear the Counter Pass Missions to increase the pass level while acquiring the necessary materials for unit growth.

  2. Counter Pass missions are divided into [Daily Mission] and [Weekly Missions].

  3. In the [Daily Mission], 10 missions are given daily; you can choose 6 from the 10 to clear the given mission.

    1. If the given mission is not up to your taste, you can select the reroll option to renew the mission.

    2. You can re-roll the mission for free for the first 3 times, and up to 5 more times afterward by spending credits.

    3. If you clear more than 6 missions, you can earn extra pass experience.

  4. In the [Weekly Mission], 10 missions are given every Monday at 04:00 UTC-9.

▼ Gear System

  • The confirmation popup box will no longer appear when equipping gear in an empty gear slot.

  • The types for displaying gear when using multiple filters will change.

    • Current: Filter 1 and Filter 2 / Only display gear that satisfies both Filter 1 and Filter 2.

    • Change: Filter 1 or Filter 2 / Only display gear that satisfies either Filter 1 or Filter 2.

  • The Stats 3 filter in the filters will be changed to a Potential Option filter button.

  • An option to lock/unlock gear will be added to the Gear Tuning/ Potential Upgrade section.

  • The gear enhancement will be added to the [Module Enhancement] feature.

    • Enhancing gear through existing gear will be done in [Material Enhancement] while enhancing through modules will be done in [Module Enhancement].

    • The storage location for enhancement modules will change from "Storage - Gear" to "Storage - Supply"

    • As enhancement modules move to equipment, acquired enhancement modules will be stored in one slot.

    • T4/5/6 enhancement modules will be renamed to "Enhancement Module," "Precision Enhancement Module," and "Nano Precision Enhancement Module".

  • When selecting a mold, obtainable gear along with its options will be displayed.

  • When you tap on "Random Option" in the Mold gear description, the possible options that can appear will be displayed.

  • The Storage will now have the option to allow a gear bulk unlock.

    • You can select the rarity, tier, and enhancement level of the gear to be unlocked and sell them in bulk.

  • The recommended gear function will be added.

    • The "Recommended Gear" button will be added to the unit information.

    • Gear with recommended "Set Options" for that unit will be introduced. When you select the check button, gear with the recommended set option will be automatically equipped.
      ※ When using this feature to equip gear, it will be based on the gear you own.
      ※ If there is an insufficient gear with the set option, that part will not be equipped with any gear.

  • The applied filter/sorting will no longer be cleared when entering the gear.

  • Percentage display information for relic gear will be added.

    • Each individual % option will be displayed up to the second decimal place.

  • Within the lobby settings, you can customize the lobby background by using the "Customization" button.

-The Command Module is a tab that manages the buff modules that are unlocked at each stage of Ship Implant Remodeling.

◆ Command Module

-Upon performing "Ship Implant Remodeling" the [Command Module] tab will be opened in the ship information tap.
-Up to three modules can be set at each stage of Ship Implant Remodeling.
-Command module is divided into Socket 1 and Socket 2, with Socket 1 applying to the personnel's [Type] and Socket 2 applying to the personnel's [Class] with random options.
-The options of the modules can be reset using a small amount of ship-specific remodeling materials and [Black Box Fragments].
-The sockets of the modules can be "Unlocked" using [SP Memory] to preserve their options.
-The options of locked sockets will not change when resetting the options of other sockets.

◆ Dive Exploration Coordinates Addition and Improvement

-Exploration Coordinates 51 to 55 are added.
-Improved Dive Exploration so that Exploration Permits are returned upon failure.


◆ Operator Command Skill Level Up Probability Adjustment

-Command skill level up probability is changed to 100% for all rarities.


◆ Tactical Update - Multiple Material Selection

-During Tactical Update, you can now select multiple materials simultaneously to proceed with the Tactical Update.

◆ Tactical Update Material Selection Screen:

-Units obtained through Contracts are now marked with [Contract obtained].
-Tactical Update Tier 6 units are no longer displayed.
-If the units used as Tactical Update materials have equipped gear, they will be unequipped automatically.
-The filter/sorting options in the Tactical Update material selection screen are adjusted to match the Managerial Department.

◆ Frame Settings Popup Adjustment:

-[Frame Settings] is moved into the [Select Main Employee].
-In [Frame Settings], you can now see the frames you currently possess and set them as the Main Employee image.

◆Scout Multiple Runs:

-You can now conduct multiple Scout runs simultaneously.

◆[Next Operation] Button improvement:

-In the battle result screen, if the next dungeon is a cutscene dungeon, the [Next Operation] button will appear.
-When selected, it will focus on the next cutscene dungeon.


◆ Monster Strategy Tag Changes
- Limited to ESPR-appearing monsters.



◆ Event Deck Auto Formation Rule Changes
-When auto-forming the event deck, units registered as [Favorites] will be prioritized in the search/formation.
*The rule for auto-formation of existing units will remain the same.
-The Basic System Management Guide - Squad Formation will include an Auto Formation.
-Tooltips will be added for loading the event deck Auto Formation.

-Clearing a mainstream will gain a small amount of EXP (100).

◆ Co-op Battle Improvement and Adjustment
- Added the abandon option in co-op battle practice mode.
- Even when the remaining entry count for co-op battle mode is 0, you can still enter practice mode.

  • Improvement to allow players to use the Practice Mode even when other alliance members are engaged in a boss battle.

  • Upon defeating Stage 15 of the Co-op Battle boss, players will no longer be able to access the Practice Mode within the purification Ops for that week.

  • A new feature has been added that allows players to instantly exit the Cooperative Battle Practice Mode.

  • The positions of Co-op Battle arenas 1, 2, 4, and 7 have been adjusted to enhance usability and convenience.

◆ Gear Tier Changes for Supply Operation Drops
-Changed the gear tear dropped from Military Supply Acquisition/ Expert Recruitment to T5.
■ Changed the initial clear reward for Military Supply Acquisition:

◆ LV110 Britra Balance Adjustment
-Removed the barrier used during damage accumulation patterns.

◆ Counter Pass Event Stage button Changes
- Changed the button function of Event Stage to proceed Collection.

◆ In-game Battle Visibility Adjustments
- Reduced the size of the floor effects for Rearmed Units.
- Reduced the deploy effect of Blue Blood Elizabeth Pendragon.
-Reduced the Special skill effects of Esterosa de Chevalier.

◆ Added Buff Value for [Welcome!] obtained in Beginners' Plan - EP.1-1-4.

◆ Danger Close

Next Danger Close is scheduled to begin after the 7th of June maintenance.

◆ Others

-To optimize resource usage in the Event Deck, the image dimensions of user ships will be changed.

-Awakened Unit will now receive battle environment buffs.
[h2]▣ Bug Fixes[/h2]
-A fix issue where the Tactical Update stage of units used in the Danger Close-Integrated Rankings was not displayed.
-A fix issue where the Medal Reward was displayed as the Obtained Rewards.
-A fix issue where the red dot was not displayed on mission icons in the operation list.
-A fix issue where, in the discounted gear enhancement state, CEOs were required to have the credits before the discount to proceed with the enhancement.
-A fix issue where the items in the shop were not displayed correctly when switching between Global and Korea servers.
-A fix issue where the Tier 7 exclusive gear for some units had lower values for the 1st option than intended.

[Dev Notes #10] May Dev Notes



Dear CEOs,
This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.

May is already coming to a close and June is approaching our doorstep.

With the new season coming, the CounterSide development team is looking for ways to give positive changes to the game.

This episode of Dev Notes will focus on what updates are coming.


[h2]【 Equipment System Improvement 】 [/h2]
The regular maintenance on the 24th of May will have an equipment system update which a lot of our CEOs were uncomfortable with.

First, every enhancement module acquired after the maintenance will now sort into the Storage rather than the Equipment section. Enhancement modules acquired before the update will still be treated as Equipment, but CEOs can continue to use modules from either Storage or Equipment to enhance the equipment just like before.

As for Relic Gears, they will now show to the hundredth place while unlocking the latent potential of the equipment. Through this, CEOs will now be able to check the stats in more detail while comparing equipment.

Filter & gear dismantling will also have improvements. Before the update, selecting two options at the filtering would display only the equipment with both abilities 1 and 2. After the update, any equipment that has at least one of the selected abilities will be displayed. The filter settings will now remain unchanged even when entering the equipment dismantling UI.

Second, new features such as the option to select the ability stats in the equipment information section to view a list of options that CEOs can choose from gear tuning, and the feature to lock equipment during enhancement or tuning. The automatic disassembly selection option, which was previously only applied to employees, will now also be applied to equipment.

[h2]【 Game Play Improvement 】[/h2]
Many CEOs wanted a feature where the opponent’s information would display before entering the stage.

In the upcoming updates, the following feature will be added to allow everyone to check the details of the opponents in stages. We are currently developing ways to effectively deliver the information concisely to the CEOs and are accepting opinions about the matter.

We are also optimizing the in-game battles to deliver each employee’s charm. Right now, we are organizing the buff and status effect displays and also adjusting effects that are too bright relative to the surroundings which temporarily obscures the screen. The effect adjustments will be done sequentially as it requires us to check every resource in-game for each employee.

Furthermore, to aid the new CEOs who have not yet done a salary negotiation to clear mission stages, every stage that requires eternium for entry will now grant a small fixed amount of experience. Because stages grant a fixed amount of experience regardless of the amount of eternium spent, it would be more efficient for our existing CEOs to use the Performance Evaluation challenge.


[h2]【 System Improvement 】[/h2]
Previous automatic formation for the event deck was rather mechanical, requiring manual manipulation every time to include desired employees or specific arrangements of employees. As a result, we have made modifications so that when auto-arranging in the event deck, employees registered in the favorites menu will be prioritized for formation based on their operational abilities and level.

Next on the list, is the tactical update. There is a difficulty when progressing for employees of SR rarity or below because tactical updates only allowed only one per attempt. To alleviate this fatigue, we have added a feature that allows selecting multiple duplicate employees at once during the tactical update process.


[h2]【 Scout System Improvement 】[/h2]
Unit data acquired through substreams or task planet points are used to scout units at the CEO’s office.
However, regardless of how many unit data CEOs have, the scouting attempt was at a maximum of 1.

To alleviate the fatigue, we have changed so that CEOs could scout multiple units at once.

[h2]【 Operator Command Skill Changes 】[/h2]
Operators of SR rarity or lower were not very much invested since leveling up command skills has a low probability of success. For example, SR rarity Mark Finley, despite being an operator with good efficiency in tackling high-difficulty content, it was difficult to readily invest in recruitment contracts and information in him.

To alleviate these constraints, we have made changes so that SR-rarity or lower operators can achieve 100% success in leveling up their command skills, similar to SSR-grade operators, but limited to their command skills.

[h2]【 Profile Image Settings 】[/h2]
CEOs can set any main employee and frames on the profile. Although it was difficult to determine the criteria by which the order was arranged, and it was not possible to identify which employee or which frame it was. To address these inconveniences, we have made changes to allow the sorting of main employees based on their ID and rarity, and frames can now be identified by their names and descriptions.

[h2]【 Dive Improvements 】[/h2]
In the beginning, there were a lot of unsuccessful attempts when trying to clear dives. To lessen the burden a bit, we changed the point where the exploration permit is spent.

From now on, Dive Starts, abandoning attempts during the dive, and dive failure due to squad elimination will no longer consume exploration permits. These permits now only be spent when the CEOs have successfully cleared the Corrupted Object.

We are also planning to add in opponent details before entering into combat in June.

Additionally, five new dive stages will be added with a more challenging and densely packed gameplay experience. In these new stages, CEOs will be able to get T6 enhancement modules, which we hope could alleviate some of the difficulties in equipment setup.


[h2]【 Danger Close 】[/h2]
From this point on, the Danger Close will begin on the day of maintenance instead of the 1st day of each month. The gameplay period will be set the same as before, with 3 weeks of gameplay and 1 week for settlement. There will be no separate rest period, and the new Danger Close will start immediately on the settlement week of that day of maintenance.

An option to end the practice mode in the co-op battle practice mode will be added. Previously, CEOs had to use up all the battle time, but from now on, CEOs will be able to select this option to end the practice mode at any time.

Moreover, when the weekly purification operation comes to an end, we have made it so that the artifact objective settings are automatically reset, reducing the inconvenience that occurred during the reconfiguration process.


[h2]【 Gauntlet Skin Reward Changes 】[/h2]
The Gauntlet-exclusive skin introduced in the previous 6.0 patch is a reward with a special acquisition path and status. As a result, many players have expressed their opinions regarding how duplicates should be handled, and there have been various opinions within the development team as well. In this developer's note, we would like to address the policy regarding this matter.

  1. The Gauntlet-exclusive skin can be acquired through either the first or second half of the season.

  2. The Gauntlet-exclusive skin will have a special rarity and can be acquired through the Gauntlet seasonal reward.

  3. Upon getting the duplicate Guantlet-exclusive skin, it will change to an exclusive frame instead.


Additionally, after the second half of the Courage season, the 2023 Courage season will come to a complete end and will bring two changes listed below.

  1. The next gauntlet-exclusive skin for the next season will be Amy Firstwing.

  2. In the 6.0 patch, the required points for ranking up in the Diamond 4 and higher-rank leagues in the Ranked Matches will be adjusted to be more lenient.



[h2]【 Custom Pickup Recruitment 】[/h2]
The upcoming update includes the introduction of Custom Pickup Recruitment, where you can personally select the target employee to recruit. You can select the pickup target up to a maximum of three times during the recruitment period, and just like regular pickup, you can ensure the acquisition after 150 recruitments. Additionally, you will receive 10 Task Planet Points for each recruitment.

Please note that the accumulated recruitment count will not carry over or reset when changing the pickup target or when the recruitment period ends.

The Custom Pickup Recruitment being introduced for the first time will be the same employee pool as Recruit on Demand. As such, please make use of this opportunity to recruit the employees you have felt the need for.
