【Event】"Sinister Night Party Time" is back !

Hello everyone,

"Sinister Night Party Time" is back ! We will start 3 different lobbies due to different timezone. If you wanna join, please join our discord and check on Event!

[h3]How to participate: [/h3]
Find the event you want to join base on your timezone. Click Intersted and add it to your calendar.After the event starts, players can go to the corresponding event channel to invite players, or wait for other players to invite.During the event, you can choose to become the room owner or wait for the room owner to invite you into the game. After the room owner creates a room, please send the room number to the corresponding channel of Discord and wait for other teammates to join.

Patch 1.22 Preview

Hello, survivors! This patch update will cover many issues that everyone cares about recently, including new features, balance, game optimization, etc.

Since survivors can get a lot of information by using night vision on the center of the second floor with very low risks, players now prefer to gather in that location during Crimson Dream. Therefore, this update will help with the mentioned issues.

[h3]The details are as follows:[/h3]
● The breach will be adjusted as two separate ones in different locations.
● Adjusted the visual effect of Night vision camera. Speed will be slightly reduced while using this equipment.
● Added a landing movement for players who jumped from the second floor to the first floor.
● Added a blinking light on the Night vision camera. This will allow the Possessed to find targets easily.

[h3]New Features[/h3]
● Added new equipment Corrupted Crystal Core: use on a distant target to reduce their sanity by 20 points and gain 20 points of evil energy.
● Added mic test in settings. Players now can adjust their mic volume themselves.
● Other players’ mics can now be muted.

[h3]Functions[/h3]
● Notification for dead players went disconnected will not be shown to other players.
● Added new icon for microphone volume.
● Players can press Z to skip voting with their map showing during a meeting.
● Victims can only participate in discussions for 30 seconds and their votes can be seen by all players.
● The duration of a meeting will be changed by the number of current players. Less alive players, less time to discuss.
● Voice input and Voice output will be replaced by Microphone volume and Voice volume.

● Added the animation for landing movement.
● Added new animation for new equipment.
● Optimized the visual effect of Night vision camera.
● Optimized vision for dead players.

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
● Fixed a bug that Night vision Camera can be used during sprinting.
● Fixed a bug that players that got tied up will receive the wrong notification while getting killed by the Possessed
● Fixed a bug that players that got tied up will look untied after getting attacked by the Wraiths.
● Fixed a bug that corpses still holding equipment.
● Fixed a bug that the chest in the Conference room cannot be interacted.
● Fixed a bug that Possessed can see incorrect animation when Crimson Dream started.
● Fixed a bug that a door is missing on the Map.
● Fixed a bug that the model of the player that got voted out will fall on the ground immediately after the vote.
● Fixed a bug that players will be seen holding different equipment while holding the Cursed Skull.
● Fixed a bug that players will teleport outside the map after using respawn.
● Fixed a bug that the equipment icon and ability icon will be shown before cut scenes end.

Patch1.21 Preview

Hello, players! We hope you’ve been enjoying the first few weeks of Sinister Night! This build will bring a variety of changes, fixes, new features, balance, etc.

Based on the current gaming environment, in order to win, the Possessed need to pick their next victim and the timing carefully. However, because of the unstable effect of using the Cursed Skull while Survivors can manage to stay alive in multiply ways, it‘s hard for Possessed to kill a specific target yet still be able to fake an alibi or frame others. Therefore, this update will help with the mentioned issues.
[h3]The details are as follows:[/h3]
Untransformed possessed can see other players in Crimson Dream.
When Crimson Dream is fading away, Possessed will gain extra Clairvoyance automatically.
● Clairvoyance: cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds and duration reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.
● Crimson Dream: Cooldown reduced from 95 to 80 seconds, 40 seconds if no Survivors were killed.
● Voice channel of possessed will be automatically activated during Crimson Dream.
● The number of offerings sightly reduced.
● Altar quests duration changed from 360 seconds to: 360 / 300 / 270 / 270 / 240 / 210s.
● Increased the energy gained by possessed when the altar quests time out to: 30 / 30 / 40 / 40 / 50 / 50.
● Reduced duration of overtime for altar quests to 120 / 120 / 100 / 100 / 80 / 80.

[h3]New Feature[/h3]
Added new equipment Lantern: players can place the Lantern on the floor, it provides additional lighting and Sanity regain.
● Players who got tied up can now be freed by others.
● Players can press U to respawn if they are stuck at certain places.

[h3]Balance[/h3]
● Players can purchase no more than two sets of bird cages.
● Visible range for triggered bird cages has decreased.
● Possessed can gain 100% evil energy if they use Dagger of Sacrifice to kill another Possessed.
● The possessed's first-person kill animation is accelerated now.
● The possessed can still regenerate energy when they are being tied up.
● During Crimson Dreams, Survivors in the conference room can no longer gain Sanity.
● Regain Sanity after Crimson Dream reduced from 20 to 15.
● Players can not run while wearing Night-vision Camera.
● Players are now able to talk once they got killed instead of after the Crimson Dream ends.

● Interaction detection optimized.
● Added notified messages for players when other players went disconnected.
● Players can vote by clicking the player list on the left during a meeting.
● Optimized the item corner label.
● Added a Video to the tutorial.
● Optimized the display status of disconnected players.

● New outfit design and model optimized for some characters.
● Animation of players’ movements optimized.

● Fixed a bug that the sound effect of players using Sedative can be heard by all players.
● Fixed a bug that Possessed can activate Crimson Dream after 6 rituals are complete.
● Fixed a bug that players can not see the animation of other players getting killed.
● Fixed a display bug with the password input prompts of a room that does not vanish.
● Fixed a bug which players can not see any notification.
● Fixed a bug that players’ mic icons are still activated after muted.
● Fixed a bug that players remain being tied up after getting untied.
● Fixed a bug that sound effect with low sanity is still activated after players got killed.
● Fixed a bug in which players were unable to join a meeting right after players got killed.
● Fixed a bug that Possessed’ s voice chat can be heard by all players once the Crimson Dream ended.
● Fixed a bug that the color of the mark on Map doesn't match with players that did not mark during a meeting.
● Fixed a display bug that shows the report option during meeting.
● Fixed a bug that if players using Assembly Bell and Possessed transforming at the same time, the Possessed can not join the meeting.
● Fixed a bug that players can see all player’s numbers in Crimson Dream after they got killed.
● Fixed a bug that all players had incorrect movement when Crimson Dream started.

Announcement for price adjustment in partial areas

Hello, players! Z-star speaking. As a group of rookie indie developers, we want to say thank you to everyone for the love and support of our game since it was released. This is the first game we have launched on steam.

Due to the unacquainted with pricing mechanisms and exchange rate in different areas, Sinister Night’s selling prices ends up very different in different areas.

To constantly maintain our game’s operative and based on our cost, we have made a tough decision. We are terrible to inform you that the price of Sinister Night will increase to $7.45 in partial areas which allow the difference in price between this and the official selling price( $9.99) is a reasonable gap. The new price will be effective at 9:00 EDT (13:00 UTC) June 25.

Lastly, we want to apologize to all players once again. We will keep working on optimizing the game and bringing a better experience to everyone.
